Day one in Dominican Republic. Beautiful scenery and lively but relaxing resort. The ocean temp is perfect and the food is delicious.

This is our house in Havana, Cuba. Because of the US’s embargo on Cuban trade, Cuba restricts Americans in Cuba. We can’t stay at or purchase from any establishment that is owned by the government, which is the majority. So US citizens stay at private homes or hotels or AirBnB’s. We stayed at a private home. They served breakfast, made us reservations for dinner, booked massages and taxi rides. Basically the customer service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend staying at a private Cuban house. This is a video of our room.

I’ve always wanted to go to Cuba (of course I want to go everywhere 😂) but I finally took the plunge. had a great deal and took care of everything! I’m even bringing my teenage kid. The paperwork, visas and entry forms were daunting, but I think it will be well worth it… tune in to find out 😉
