BAD Dryer Motor: How to determine your dryer motor is bad by watching the spark pattern. This short video show a bad motor. The carbons were burnt out and even after re-dressing the armatures commutator it still failed and shows large sparks. A good motor will be a small blue sizzle pattern.

WagNTail Mobile Groomers: Many have asked if the Heavy Duty Filter for the K9II Dryer will fit in the Cubby Cabinet in the salon. The answer is YES and it helps the performance of the dryer and helps the carbon brushes last longer. It allows more air to enter the dryer with more surface area on the filter. More air in equals more air out. However you MUST keep the filter clean just like the stock filter. A clean filter will help the longevity of the dryer motor as a clogged filter starves the dryer motor for air producing more heat and damages the motor over time.

This filter is a Kit that can be installed during a service or repair. It replaces the exsisting filter end cap and is a direct bolt on fixture. The Filter Media can be cleaned by turning the filter and vacuming it. Again please do not wash this filter the filter media is not designed to be washed on this filter.

DO NOT WASH this filter.

REMINDER to Maintain your equipment...

Change the Blade Drive/Lever on your clipper to maintain blade performance. Your sharpener will do a full service when they do your sharpening to check all the wear componets on your clipper. BUT you need to change the blade drive/lever between your sharpening appointments.

Remember to clean or change your HV dryer filter. A clogged filter starves your HV dryer for air and causes overheating issues that damage the motors. Clean the filters daily. Replace as they change color or have holes. Change the carbon brushes every 12 months. Your shartpener stocks the filters and carbon brushes for service during your sharpening appointment. Remember you can't groom a wet dog so dryer maintence is very important.

PSA: Be careful.. The GROUND prong is missing from your HV Dryer. You risk electrical shock when this prong is missing as the dryer is no longer connected to ground. You can replace these plug ends with a new plug.
