Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club

Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club Started in 2004, Krome Kitty is Wichita's first all female motorcycle club.

Hi friends! The Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club has chosen AA Place for Dogs as our focal charity this year. If you don't know about this non-profit organization, you really should!
Here's their mission statement:
Often, a significant barrier for addicts entering rehab is the cost and perceived unavailability of quality care for their four-legged companions. 'AA' Place for Dogs will assist addicts by easing the burden and fear of entering rehab and leaving their valued four-legged family members. We offer support for the care of that animal while the owner is in rehab.
How awesome is that?!? Please consider a donation, or come to this event! All ticket sales and donations go directly to them.
Helping people, helping pets, it's all so good.
Watch for details of a Chicken and Pickle event to benefit them too!

Come join us at Chicken N Pickle - Wichita for a rockin' good time benefiting "AA" Place for Dogs! Jet City will be playing their high energy, fiery rock favorites starting at 8:00, and appetizers will be provided in the VIP beer garden beginning at 7:00. It was a cold, windy day for the last official ride of the 2023 season on Saturday, October 14th. It's better to go in cars, than not at all, so that's what we did! Two tuff Kitties braved the elements and biked up in every bit of leather they had and rode. Good on you Stella and Beth!

We had lunch at The Barn in Burron, KS and tried to keep the Kitty chaos to a minimum. We were mostly successful!

Thank you for a great day and season Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club!

With Lily, Serena, Brandi, Kathryn, Stella, Pat, Beth, Tina, Alice, Christine, Sonja, Kim, Julie, Donna, Deborah, Dawn, Karen, Sheryl, Cindy and Diane.

The Krome Kitties had their annual Tom Kat Ride today. This is the one time a year we invite our spouses and family to join us on a ride. It's always a popular event and we get a large turnout. Today was no exception! Forty-one people biked up and rode to Sedan, KS and ate at Buck's BBQ. The desert-like temperatures broke just in time to make this a beautiful ride in the Kansas countryside!

The plan: Go to the Sedgwick County Zoo for a Twilight Tuesday concert. The reality: It was 103°. No one wants to sit in the scorching hot sun for three hours! Plan B: Enjoy the glorious air conditioning at the Pumphouse. So, that's exactly what we did for the July 18th Krome Kitty Meow Mixer!

Take the backroads! That's exactly what we did on the Krome Kitty ride to the Czech Capital of Kansas, otherwise known as Wilson, KS on July 16th. We had some pretty darn good fried chicken at Made from Scratch. Bonus! We were able to "Czech" off a Kansas landmark. It was egg-celent!

For the Krome Kitty ride on June 10th, we switched it up a bit and made it a dinner ride instead of a lunch ride. We started by riding to Council Grove, KS and ended in Newton, KS, where we ate at one of our favorite restaurants - Genova's Italian Restaurant. The Kitties love us some pasta....and Mexican food....really, all food!

The Krome Kitties were tutu cute on our annual Tutu Ride on May 21st! We rode to Coldwater, KS and had lunch at Dave's Pizza Oven. Despite what you may have heard, you're never too old to wear a tutu!

How do you celebrate International Female Ride Day? You ride, of course! The Krome Kitties motorscooted to El Dorado to eat lunch at the True Lies Ranch Hand Cafe and Steakhouse. It was an absolutely beautiful day to ride and I couldn't ask for a better group of ladies to ride with!

The Krome Kitties were all set to ride to Durham, KS today, but Mother Nature said, "Not today ladies!" The cold and windy weather caused us to pivot and go in cars instead, but the awesome part is 23 Kitties would rather go in a car than not go at all. That's how much we treasure our time together!

Last Sunday, Palm Sunday, the Krome Kitties participated in the annual Blessing of the Bikes. This year, we invited what we consider to be our Brother Club, Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club, to join us. It was a gorgeous day full of blessings and friendship!

Thank you to Douglas Avenue Assembly of God Church for doing this for us every year! We always feel safer knowing we've been blessed!

Last summer, the Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club was featured in a segment of Positively Kansas on KPTS. Here is the finished piece and to say we are pleased with it is a huge understatement!

A women’s motorcycle group is featured. Also, a blind painter gives a seminar in Wichita.

Today marked the end of the riding season for KKMC. It's been a great year full of memories made and safe rides. Thank you to all the members for your outstanding support, attitude and attendance!

We never know what the weather will throw at us in October, so we always plan for a shorter ride. Today we took the short 50 mile trip to Winfield to eat at Shindigs. While it was pretty chilly this morning, it was perfect riding weather this afternoon.

Today was the annual Tom Kat Ride for the Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club. This is the one time a year we invite our spouses, significant others, family and friends to ride with us. We went to Pratt, KS to eat at Rick's Restaurant. It was a great day with friends despite the wicked wind!

The Krome Kitties rode to Buhler, KS yesterday to have breakfast at the Mustard Seed. The exciting part of our day was being filmed for a segment of Positively Kansas with Sierra Scott in KPTS Channel 8. The reporter filmed us at our departure location, several spots enroute to Buhler and at the restaurant. We're excited to be TV stars! With Danielle Fahrney, Jennifer Patterson, Linda Mendenhall, Alice Friedman, Serena Mendola, Lori Gibbs, Nellie Taylor, Cindy McGuire, Christine Allsman, Brenda Keel, Donna Crays, Tina Callender, Kim Jones, Dawn Morse and Angel Constable.

The Krome Kitties rode to Pawnee, OK today to have lunch at Click's Steakhouse. Click's is a great lunch destination and a nice ride in the Kansas and Oklahoma countryside. I wouldn't recommend doing it when it's 105° like we did. It was like riding on the surface of the sun! With Janice Friedman, Sherri Carver, Kristi Evans, Brenda Keel, Angel Constable, Nellie Taylor, Linda Mendenhall, Kim Jones, Stella Bickhard, Kari Miller, Stephanie Cole, Sheryl Pennington, Donna Crays, Maureen Stout, Cindy McGuire, Melaina Phares, Christine Allsman and Jennifer Patterson

I've done a poor job in posting this season so I'm going to post the group picture from each ride all at once.

The Krome Kitties wrapped up their riding season yesterday and it's been a heckuva year! We had some tragedies with a death of a member from cancer; three members were involved in motorcycle accidents, none of which were their fault; and one member nearly lost her life to COVID. But we stayed strong, we stayed a family and we made some incredible memories!

The Krome Kitties were supposed to ride to Zenda, KS today. The weather in mid-April isn't supposed to feel like December. Rather than scrapping the trip and the opportunity to be together, we decided to pile 29 ladies into multiple cars and four wheel our way there. Not one of us regretted that decision. It was COLD! Any day spent with this krazy group of girls is a good day!

The Krome Kitties got a late start to our season, but today was the day! Not only did we finally get to motorscoot down the road together, it was our annual Tutu Ride. Colorful tutus were flying in the wind as we made our way to Strong City where Ad Astra had us properly social distanced and served up some VERY tasty food.

Thank you to those Kitties who came out to play today! Christine Allsman, Lily Nordyke, Tricia Carruthers, Krista Cotterill, Kristi Evans, Stephanie Rodriguez, Sonja McCall, Serena Mendola, Cindy McGuire, Annette South, Christina Stephen, Pat Sherry, Linda Moreland, Suz Tiede, Lori Mutchler, Maureen Stout, Kathryn Langrehr, Darcee Dague, Kim Jones, Lori Gibbs, Dawn Morse and Jennifer Palmer.

Twenty-eight members of the Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club attended the Women's Freedom Rally in Topeka from Thursday to Sunday last week. We were trying to beat the world's record for the most lady bikers gathered in one location. We came up short in doing that, but we did set a new National record. There were 762 beautiful, strong and fierce women counted and the Krome Kitties are proud to be among those!

Those who attended were Janice, Justine, Lori, Kristi, Kathryn, Melaina, Alice, Lily, Kari, Chris, Kim, Susan, Maureen, Christine, Annette, Tricia, Krista, Tanya, Colleen, Suz, Nellie, Bobbie, Dawn, Cindy, Stephanir, Linda, Stefany, Sherita, Sonja

Ok, so it wasn't raining and the sun was shining, but who turned the air conditioner on full blast?! It was a very cold ride for the Krome Kitties to Ellsworth, KS today, but at least I found comfort in the fact that when we stopped for gas in Lindsborg, I wasn't the only one who was freezing. Everyone was numb from the cold. This might have been the one time that there were equal parts hot tea/coffee and soft drinks/water ordered at lunch. Despite the cold, it was a great day with even greater ladies!

The Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club had their season opening Tutu Ride today, which started with a blessing of our bikes, helmets, break levers and bodies by my son, Pastor Clayton. The cool morning temperatures forced us to scrap our original plan of riding to Council Grove and instead, we pointed our noses for closer territory and ended up at Stearman Field in Benton. 'Twas a tutu perfect day!

Kitties, please feel free to tag yourselves.

Sixteen of the Krome Kitties shook off the cobwebs from the long winter break and motorscooted down Thunder Road and ended up in El Dorado for lunch yesterday. Feels good to be back on the bike again! We're so excited to get our 15th anniversary season underway!

Today was the Krome Kitty's annual Tom Kat ride, which is the one time during the season that we invite our menfolk, friends and family to join us for a ride. Normally, the Tom Kat ride is a cool Fall day ride, but that was not the case today as we had unseasonably warm temperatures. But warm sun and muggy air is sure better than clouds and rain!

We had a great group of people riding with us today to Ponca City, OK to eat at El Patio Mexican Grill and Cantina. We flooded the outdoor el patio with Kitties and guests and I gotta say, the wait staff hustled their tails off to take care of us. Good Mexican food, too, so if you're in Ponca City, this is a good lunch stop.

The outstanding food was only surpassed by the wonderful company. These peeps always make for a darn good time!

Thank you to ALL those who attended for making this another GREAT Tom Kat ride!
With Nellie and Jim, John and Tresny, Christine, Dorrin and Zach, Linda and Jim, Kari and Daryl, Bobbie and Al, Sherri and Cheryl, Kathryn, Kim, Chris, Annette, Joe and David.

Was it cold? Yes. Was it wet? Yes. Did we have a blast? A resounding YES! We didn't allow some less than ideal riding weather stop us from saying "We are badass Kitties and we are gonna have fun come hell or high water!" Today was our second annual Tutu Day as we traveled to Abilene to eat at the First Lady Tea Room. I highly recommend paying this lovely place a visit. The food was fabulous and the presentation was even more fabulous!

We did not let a little thing like rain and cold temperatures put a damper on having a fun-filled day today! Fourteen Kitties traded their bikes for cars and caravaned their way to Buhler to dine at The Mustard Seed. There we were treated with good ole small town hospitality. We then invaded Adrian's A to Z and did a little shopping and at 1:00 sharp, we were back on the road so those who were available could go to Sgt. C's Grand Opening. This group of ladies proved once again, you don't need no stinkin' bikes to have a good time! With Tricia Carruthers, Dawn E Morse, Kathryn Boyd Langrehr, Susan Clasen-Tiede, Lily Nordyke, Chris Emond, Denise Johnson, Bobbie Jean Cole, Kari Miller, Maureen Stout, Linda McNutt Moreland, Kim McEwen Jones and Nelda Clark Taylor
