It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Skål members, the industry's managers and executives, meet at local, national and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest. The first club was founded in Paris in 1932 by Travel Trade managers who had been on an educational tour of Scandinavia. The idea of International goodwill

and friendship grew and in 1934 the Association Internationale des Skål Clubs was formed with Florimond Volckaert as its first President who is considered "The Father of Skål". From that modest beginning, Skål International has approximately 23000 members in more than 525 clubs throughout 87 nations. Most activities occur at local levels, moving up through National committes under the umbrella of Skål International, headquartered at The General Secretariat in Torremolinos, Spain. Skål International is governed by an Executive committee of seven members, elected by the delegates to the General Assembly, which is held each October/November in conjunction with the Skål International World Congress. Invitation to the Challengemaster Networking Event!
Join us for an exciting day of team-building challenges at the Challengemaster event, hosted by Skål International Nelson Mandela Bay! Whether participating or just watching, you're in for a memorable experience.
Event Details:
• Date: Tuesday, August 13, 2024
• Time: 12H00
• Venue: B and E Conference Centre
• Cost: R200 for members, R250 for non-members (includes lunch, dessert, and Meridian wines)
Challengemaster is inspired by the British comedy game show Taskmaster, but it's designed for team-building. This event is perfect for groups who want to collaborate and have fun. Participants will be divided into teams to compete in various unique and creative tasks. These challenges may require individual efforts or teamwork and encourage creative thinking and problem-solving.
For example, one task might be to count as high as possible within 45 seconds. There are no set rules, so teams can approach the tasks however they like. The team with the highest score at the end wins!
The Challengemaster will present and oversee each task, scoring teams based on creativity and effectiveness. Our goal is to create a fun environment where everyone can bond and think outside the box. Expect lots of laughs and a great time!

On July 30, 2024, we stand with the United Nations - UNODC for the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. This year’s theme is 'Leave no child behind in the fight against '.
>> Children represent a significant proportion of trafficking victims worldwide, with girls being disproportionately affected. 1 in 3 victims of human trafficking globally is a child.

With great pleasure we announce the Clubs finalists for the 'Skål Club of the Year 2023-2024' Award.

📣 Earlier this year, the Skål International General Secretariat revised the criteria and invited qualifying Clubs to enter the competition by creating a video showcasing their achievements in growth, solidarity projects, initiatives, and commitment to the Skål Movement.
