It is quite a job to order all food and drink items as per menu and quantity of people and itinery! Receive orders and cross check, and make sure nothing is missed! When the safaris come home it is a matter of noting and packing away the returns and keeping on top of stock.

🔧Our Mechanics - from L to R General, Master & Anton. Master has been with us for 6 years and together they service all our vehicles as well as the important pre and post safari checks. Not just our game drive vehicles but our Fuso's and office vehicles. It is not an easy job but these guys definitely keep the Letaka safaris mobile!

Meet Stephen from Letaka Safaris

Behind the scenes we have a formidable team of staff. From the ladies that wash and clean all linen to the guys at the workshop and our indispensable reservations team. It is important to highlight all the cogs of the Letaka machine.

🌟Today we introduce 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡𝕙𝕖𝕟 ℕ𝕥𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕘, our legendary Operations Manager. Stephen has been with Letaka for just over 15 years now. Stephen started with us as a driver and over the years worked his way up to workshop manager and then operations manager, a position he has held and excelled in since 2017.

He oversees all of our 6 safari teams, vehicles, equipment and logistics. Steve is pivotal to our continued success and Letaka would not be where it is today without him! At any given time, Steve knows exactly where every Letaka staff member and vehicle are in the vast wilderness of Botswana, we don’t need GPS tracking, we have Steve.

🇧🇼Today marks Botswana's 57th Independence Day. A significant holiday for Botswana.

📸This beautiful image taken by of a Lilac Breasted Roller is Botswana's national bird.
There is so much more to these multicolored birds than meets the eye. Their agile flying abilities, unusual way of hunting, and place in African folklore are just as intriguing.
