AfriCar Hire opened its doors in the mid 1980’s and was originally located in Durban. In 1994 we relocated to our current head office, based in Umhlanga Rocks and after substantial growth in the 1990’s we secured Europcar as part of our team and now have agents in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth offering our services. Then in the late 1990’s AfriCar Hire merged with a Johannesburg based

company and we relocated our Head office to Braamfontein. Due to logistical reasons we then made a decision to separate the two companies involved and as a result, AfriCar Hire became a privately owned vehicle rental company with head offices in Umhlanga Rocks as well as a branch in Kloof.
