Once in 36 years I had the privilege of a client that could afford burl walnut.
Scary to work at R6500 for an 800mm diameter top. Have to work it with hi-gloss Danish polish.
Off the charts beautiful....privileged.

I lit a small braai last night for a wors roll for supper.
I've been a cabinetmaker for 35 years and have learnt to make the most amazing things from wood.
As my braai flickered into life with off cuts of oak and teak and maple I began to realise the most beautiful thing I have ever made with wood is a fire. All unique in their own way.
