Dear man.

Remember that your image is a reflection of yourself, your family and your business. The way you groom yourself and take care of yourself has a significant effect on how you are perceived and responded to in both professional and personal environments.

Reality check: No one is going to look after you and groom you! You have to do that yourself, and it is not a suggestion or request. It is essential. Consider the disrespect toward the loved ones in your life and your piers if you don't.

I saw a man in a store this weekend together with his beautifully groomed and healthy wife, while his belly was hanging out from below his old, worn and torn shirt over his baggy shorts broke my heart! Unshaved, long and untidy hair, long toe nails peeling out over his "plakkies"...

I wonder how many times has she asked him, begged him, shouted at him and prayed that he took better care of himself...?!

Come on, man. There is so much pressure on women to be thin and spotless, all while the majority of men don't care about being well groomed, how they look (or behave) and how healthy they are. It really is a two way street.
