Adventure to Paradise
Dear Friends
Spring is turning into summer time which means holiday time. This year we are organizing an adventure to Lake Malawi. I went there 2 years ago and it was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had. Lake Malawi is one of the largest fresh water lakes in the world. Its waters are turquoise and crystal clear. There are more than 1000 different species of c
olourful fish. The water is warm and has no crocodiles, hippos, jellyfish, urchins, sharks or anything unfriendly. There are sandy beaches shaded by baobabs. Malawi is the land of Malawi Gold. By far the best on the continent and easily attainable from the abundant rastas. The people in Malawi are the second cleverest and second most friendly natives on the continent. We will be staying most of our time on an island. The camp we are staying in is the only settlement on the island which is huge. The camp is fairly rustic yet very comfortable. We will be sleeping in tents but very the best tents. One of the many objectives of this trip is no toiling. The people who work at the camp are very friendly and helpful and will do everything that involves toil, i.e cooking, washing up, lighting fires, setting up tents and all the kak aspects of camping. So pretty much we will be staying at a luxury safari camp on a private island, dream living…
There is only space for 10 people on the island. So this adventure is exclusively for 10 fun-loving, thrill-seeking, adventurous happy people. If you are coming from The Republic South of the Limpopo you will need to fly to Harare and you can stay with me for as long as you like. If so you will need to be in Zim on the 6th of December, at the latest and can return to the deep South from the 14th but are welcome to stay longer. This is the basic itinerary:
7 December: Depart Zimbabwe and drive through Mozambique to Malawi. We will be taking two vehicles, with 5 in each car. It is a long drive but very scenic and remote. We will arrive at the Lake in the evening and are staying at a lodge called Gecko Lounge.
8 December: Boat voyage to our island. We will stay 4 nights on the island.
12 December: Stay at Mufasa Backpackers.
13 December: Wake up to leave and all decide we never want to leave paradise and return to the real world. You do not need to do anything or bring anything just a good attitude and sense of humour. We are organizing the food and drinks as this makes it cheaper and more fun, but you have no need to worry, just to fork out the funds. As I said, there is a no toiling policy on this trip so you wont be peeling onions or washing pots. The food and drinks will be plenty and delicious. We will also take our own liquor. Our blaze is waiting there for us curing perfectly as we speak. On the island we will be able to use kayaks to cruise around the island. There are also goggles and snorkels so you can rook and go and look at some colourful fish. Money:
The trip will cost R2800/$400. This includes accommodation for the mainland as well as our island. Meals, drinks, blaze, transfers, national parks and other little costs. I can send a detailed cost breakdown if you want to be uninvited. I suggest you bring some spending money for curios and Christmas presents. I will need to get a deposit of R500/$70 if you want to secure your place on the adventure to paradise. The cost is exceptionally reasonable, as I am a friendly hustler. If you are keen please contact me soon and we can scheme and discuss. Unfortunately not everybody will be able to come and the fairest way is the first 10 people who pay their deposits will be given the once in a lifetime opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you…
