Our Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventure may currently be suspended but our Outback, Great Ocean Road, and Barossa Valley tours are operating as normal. Our departures have not been affected for the above tours and locations visited do not fall within areas that were impacted.

KANGAROO ISLAND - UPDATE 9/1/2020

Due to the extensive damage caused by widespread fires on Kangaroo Island, our operations team have had to suspend all Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventure departures until the 20th January. We will keep you updated as new information and damage assessments come to light for departures after this date.

We are deeply saddened by the effects these fires have had on KI’s environment, wildlife, business and local communities. We thank the CFS for their ongoing support and efforts during this trying period.

Coober Pedy has attracted a number of movie producers due to its photogenic desert landscape. Some scenes filmed in the area include The Adventures of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert, Pitch Black starring Vin Diesel, and in development for 2021, Mortal Kombat.

You can find the Pitch Black spaceship parked (or crash landed) just off Coober Pedy’s main shopping strip, cool right?

Despite their fierce appearance...Thorny Devils are one of the most harmless lizards and prefer to evade predation through camouflage and illusion.

If you manage to spot one on your outback journey... count yourself lucky! their colourings and small size make them quite difficult to tell apart from the shrubs they like to hide in

“So this was a pretty cool experience yesterday at on . This little seal pup came to say hello! As this is a protected area, the conservation park staff are awesome and make sure no human interaction occurs with the seals. We had to stay very still so the pup learns that humans aren’t fun. Very lucky!”
