The Oz Outback Odyssey is an event for car enthusiasts and adventurers alike, a hassle free experience traversing unique and remote areas of Australia

Navigating through the Australian Outback entrants traverse rugged, spectacular and remote regions of Australia in pre 1985 cars and 4WD support vehicles. While fundraising for a fantastic cause RFDS! The Royal Flying Doctor Service is the major beneficiary of the Oz Outback Odyssey to help them continue their great work providing a lifesaving, invaluable service to regional and outback Australia.

The week long event is held annually in July, starting around Adelaide, South Australia aiming to finish in a warmer location with a final presentation night. Entrant numbers are limited each year to keep the group cohesive allowing greater distance to be travelled.

The hits day 3 of challenges, weary bodies, and no doubt some late-night repairs.

With just over 500 km to cover throughout the day, every car ploughs through, taking the bends and dips in their stride.

Each day, locals generously donate lunch, eager to learn more about the Odyssey experience! Always tasty, and always good fun meeting the people behind the scenes.

The OZ Outback Odyssey 2024 is still open for applications at all participation levels. Even if you don't own a car, you can still participate and join the Odyssey adventure.

Here is a to the 2018 Odyssey: Adelaide to Cotton Tree, QLD.

Every night, competitors, officials, and locals get together to wrap up the day that's been, shedding light on the humbling moments and taking aim at the aches and pains felt from the bumps and turns.

In the end, it's all about having a good time! But don't forget, we are here for a good cause, to keep the doctors flying; and even the smallest mistake will be discussed in an open forum, usually ending with a fine paid directly to the RFDS.

It's all in the name of fun, and in 2018, they had lots to talk about and raised a massive $153,550 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service!!

Can they do it again??

Get involved, jump in, rally the troops, or offer a hand before the deadline hits!

In just over 3 months, the 2024 Oz Outback Odyssey will be hitting the road to Magnetic Island, and you could be in on the trip!

Welcome to Day 2 of the 2024 OZ Outback Odyssey, #OzOutbackOdyssey in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. Tag someone who you think would want to come along! On what will be the 28th of July 2024, early in the morning, the Odyssey will be leaving Broken Hill and covering more than 450km of stunning NSW scenery. The roadblocks will be laid out throughout the day, challenging even the most cunning participants. What will they come across? That's a secret for the day. Travelling through White Cliffs, New South Wales, and through to Wanaaring Store and Caravan Park for the final leg of what's sure to be a memorable day for all involved. Repairs start when they arrive for the night, but to keep each car moving sometimes takes the crews well into the early hours of the night before getting up and tackling day 3 to do it all over again.
