Fabulous turnout for the 88th Blue Water Classic this weekend with 70+ boats and 300+ fisherfolk in the game fishing tournament. Today, day 2, Bermagui is now a beautiful blue sky day. Have a great day on the water!

Anyone impacted by the Coolagolite Road bushfire is invited to attend:

* Thursday 12th October, 12pm-5pm - a community BBQ from
5pm-7pm will follow on directly after the Recovery Centre closes
* Friday 13th October, 10am-4pm

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the emergency service personnel who came from far and wide when the Coolagolite Road fire ignited last Tuesday. It has been an horrendous few days and RFS, Fire & Rescue, SES and Police have worked tirelessly to keep our community safe and protect residential property.
Many are still here patrolling the fire ground, mopping up hot spots and checking and felling burnt trees.
You guys are THE BEST!

Thanks to our local volunteer fire brigade NSW RFS - Bermagui Brigade.
Follow their advice, don't be complacent ...... BE READY!

Due to stronger than forecast winds along the Far South Coast, Catastrophic fire danger is expected this afternoon in the region.

For your survival, avoid being in bush and grass fire risk areas today. These are the most dangerous conditions for a fire.

Stay up to date, review your bush fire survival plan and know what you will do if a fire threatens.

With the forecast for a hot dry summer, this coming weekend is Get Ready Weekend promoting preparation for bush fire. Bermagui Rural Fire Brigade will be in attendance at the fire station in Bunga Street on Saturday 16th September from 10am to 1pm to assist members of the public in preparing for this summer’s bushfire season. A number of experienced volunteer fire fighters will be on hand to help with queries, plus supporting literature and handouts will be available.

MOTEL ART FAIR is coming to Bermagui in 2023!! This is an amazing opportunity to meet and buy artworks from local artists ... exhibiting artists will each take over a room in Bermagui Motor Inn, creating a personal gallery space in which to display and sell their works.
The VIP Preview night on Friday 28th July from 6pm-9pm, with food, bar and DJ, will be a great night out. Tickets are just $10 -register at events.humantix.com/motel-art-fair-vip-preview
Then on Saturday 29th July it's a free family fun day where you can browse the exhibitions at your leisure from 10am to 4pm.

Join Lifeline South Coast at their Bermagui sunrise walk in remembrance of those lost to su***de

Just one week to go until our Out of the Shadows Walk in Bermagui. This is a FREE event giving people who have been touched by su***de a chance to remember their loved ones and walk with others, who like them, have been affected.

Following the walk we will all go to Bermi's Beachside Cafe to enjoy a coffee and muffin.

February is dog show month and Bermagui welcomes the doggies again this year! 🐾🐕🐩

The Bega Valley Kennel & Obedience Club will hold their show from this Saturday 11th to Monday 13th, then the Sapphire Coast Kennel & Obedience Club have their show from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th. More info on the pages for each club. Both shows take place on Dickinson Oval, Lamont Street.

We're looking forward to the 87th Bermagui Blue Water Classic Tournament from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th January. Hosted by Bermagui Big Game Anglers Club - BBGAC this a NSW Game Fishing sanctioned tournament. Competitors come from near and far to chase big game fish and others such as shark, king fish and tuna in the waters north or south of Bermagui. There are prizes in various categories in the tag and release and capture sections. Prize categories include marlin, other game fish such as yellow fin tuna and shark, junior and lady angler sections, as well as a small fry section and a lucky angler prize. An overcast start became a beautiful warm blue sky day and Cuttagee Beach was picture perfect. Swimmers, surfers and dogs all enjoyed this wonderful spot just a short drive south of Bermagui. Cuttagee Beach is leash free and about 1km of fun for your four legged friends.

Here's something extra special to do on Sunday 8th January!
Bermagui Sporting Clays is located a short drive south of Bermagui. Head down Tathra Bermagui Road, and about 1.5km past Cuttagee Bridge turn right into Murrah River Road and continue till you see the sign for Bermagui Sporting Clays. Have fun😀
