In light of the recent developments with Regional Express Airlines (Rex), we want to keep you informed regarding your available options.

What do I need to know?
🔸 Rex has gone into voluntary administration and ceased operating their 737-800 jet services between major capital cities.
🔸 Regional flights will continue to operate as originally scheduled.
🔸 Passengers holding a Rex ticket on a cancelled flight can be rebooked for free onto Virgin Australia services. This offer is available until the 14th of August via this form: https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/forms/rex-rebooking-request/
🔸 Customers with an impacted Rex booking can contact Qantas and Jetstar to be re-accommodated on the same route as their original booking at no charge, where seats are available. Contact Jetstar on Live Chat or 13 15 38 and Qantas on 13 13 13 to make a booking. Offer available until 31 August 2024.
🔸 Rex is not offering refunds for cancelled flights.

Singapore Airlines is increasing its capacity to Australia, with a fifth daily flight added for Singapore - Sydney and three more weekly flights to Adelaide starting from October 27, 2024. An increase in seating capacity within the aviation industry is poised to stimulate intensified competition among airlines, consequently fostering the expectation of a potential reduction in airfare rates.
