Virgin Australia has just announced new lifetime status tiers for Velocity members, with the introduction of 'Forever Gold' and 'Platinum Plus'. These updates are designed to recognise the most loyal flyers and simplify seat redemptions.

Key highlights include:
✈️ Two new exclusive status levels for frequent flyers
✈️ Changes to Reward Seat pricing and Virgin Australia Points earn rates
✈️ Simplified ways to earn Status

Additionally, one million Virgin Australia Domestic Reward Seats are now available for booking until 20 October 2024, for selected travel dates.*

Great news for Australian travellers and business flyers! Qantas is adding 220,000 new international seats starting in Feb 2025, as part of a year-long program to expand its global network.

What can we expect to see?

✈️ With more A380s returning, Qantas will increase USA capacity by 13%, with flights between Melbourne and Dallas to increase from three to four times weekly.
✈️ Reintroducing the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the Brisbane market will unlock premium economy flights to Los Angeles and Auckland.
✈️ Qantas will also launch new direct flights between Brisbane and Palau, boosting trade and tourism links.
✈️ We will also see the A220 take off on its first international route between Darwin and Singapore, flying five times per week.
