We have finally just received the Survey Certificate as the vessel was going through the new transitional survey requirements as an existing vessel.

Unfortunately it has left us short in days, fishing off Cairns as we would not arrive till end October, and will structure charters heavily for the light tackle sailfish and juvenile black marlin off Darwin’s coastal waters.

This period has been an absolute mental exhausting and stressful, as this vessel was literally put threw the ringers for new transition as literally having a new boat.

Friends that know the hell I was put through please no bad comments as AMSA just doing their job to make sure our charter vessels are of the highest standard in the world. Don’t wish this on anyone having to do transitional survey for commercial vessel but it is what it is.

Like to thank Daniel Keil and Geoff Brown the Marine surveyors for their tireless efforts getting this accomplished.

HINDSIGHT getting a good polish ready for the start or 2022 light tackle season off Darwin. So much looking forward to getting back out again. I still have some dates available from end of March to July. Due to my business being decimated by Covid booking cancellations I’m offering our extended live aboard charters from Mid March to end of June at $2,650 a day for the boat or $660 a day per angler with a maximum of 4 guests minimum of 3 days with a maximum of 7 days for 2022.
We still have dates available in this period due to vaccination restrictions in the NT as guests need to be fully vaccinated to enter the NT.
FNA Sports Fishing will be doing light tackle sports fishing only for these charters.

⭐️ Covid update ⭐️
Due to a Covid cluster in the NT lockdown, NSW, WA and QLD we are currently unable to take bookings at this time until further notice from the Government and when we can reopen and operate. We will have to restructure numbers of guests allowed onboard under social distancing rules and Covid rules.

Splashed today and sea trials and correct engine heights done & shaft alignments all good again and no vibration and big girl cruised at 23.7 knots and then 28.9 knots at 2520 Rpm and now periodic safety survey to sign off and glad it’s all over.

We are to base FNA Sports Fishing in Darwin for next 2 to 3 years until international travel can return to Cairns. We are a 25 year experienced charter operation in the NT, offering premium fishing tours, so to save my business because of COVID we are going back to our foundations.
