We were honoured to be sponsors of Uniting Communities Lifeline Adelaide Gala Dinner on Friday. Many businesses from the local community came together to support this event as sponsors, donors or those that work closely with the organisation. Hosted at U City, the venue was stunningly decorated with vibrant florals to match the evening's theme of 'Hope Blooms Here' ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒท Now in its 61st year of operation, Lifeline Adelaide answers thousands of calls every year from people experiencing crisis.

We started the evening with a Welcome to Country from Jack, followed by some insights from Simon Schrapnel, the CEO of Uniting Communities on the tremendous impact Lifeline's services provide. Anthony, one of the phone support volunteers shared his moving and very personal story of why he chose to get involved with Lifeline Adelaide.

The Uniting Communities team, host and auctioneer did an amazing job putting on this beautiful event. Thank you to everyone involved ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

Over the weekend, Stacey Edmonds MAICD from Dodgy or Not? presented the product at the AICWA Conference in Perth. SRA Information Technology has been proud to partner with the Dodgy or Not? team to play a key role in the development of this webapp. With approximately 240 delegates in attendance, this year's conference was dedicated to empowering members with the latest technological advancements and fraud/scam prevention strategies.

Dodgy or Not? is a webapp that educates subscribers in how to identify scams via a game-inspired experience.

Shaun Luckhurst from SRA's Perth team noted that it was great to engage with so many delegates and fellow sponsors, including representatives from the Australian Government's Cybersecurity team. Many thanks to all who contributed to this project. This would not have been possible without all your dedication and hard work ๐Ÿ‘

We were pleased to sponsor the recent book launch in Canberra of "Iron Sharpens Iron" by Andrew Johnson, a seasoned business leader and former CEO of ACS. In the fiercely competitive realms of Management, Leadership, and Strategy, success demands more than just innovative ideas and robust ex*****on. It requires a winning edge โ€“ a fusion of strategy, leadership, and relentless motivation that transcends conventional business wisdom.

"Iron Sharpens Iron: How Borrowing from the Pro Sports Playbook Can Give Businesses the Winning Edge" takes lessons learnt in the professional sports arena that lead to success and blends them with the strategic acumen required for business excellence.

Steve Rowe, SRA's Founder and CEO (and avid hockey player) ๐Ÿ‘joined Andrew Johnson in a dialogue-style presentation where they discussed his reflections on running a business for over 30 years.

Thank you to Andrew for the opportunity to support this event ๐Ÿ‘

From teaching to running a national IT business โ€“ Steve Rowe, founder of SRA recently shared his story with Sajarn Stow from ABC Radio Darwin.

Steve talked about how he developed an interest in tech early in life, his passion for hockey and making the move from Adelaide to the Top End.

A key piece of advice from Steve for budding business owners โ€“ "Donโ€™t think you have to do it by yourself. Look for any help that you can get along the way โ€ฆ donโ€™t shy away from asking questions and learning from othersโ€™ experiences."

Steve Rowe made the Territory home in 1997. He originally thought that he was going to work as a teacher but fell into the IT world. He reminds us that it is good to be open to opportunities.
