Work’s tracking well to provide another destination jetty on the Gippsland Lakes.
Through the reinvestment of your boating licence and rego fees, we’ve helped fund construction of a new jetty at Raymond Island.
Located next to the ferry terminal, the jetty will provide 48-hour berths in a sheltered location in McMillan Strait.
Raymond Island is only accessible by boat and is popular with families, many of whom venture across to see the resident koalas!
Our $300,000 funding is in addition to $737,000 from Freight Victoria to make the project possible.
Gippsland Ports is managing the work, with piles installed and the pontoons to take shape in the next few weeks.
