澳洲共有6個州和8個首都城市，其中物價最貴的城市是悉尼，比香港高13%。在悉尼生活，你將要預備大約 A$3,000（約港幣1.8萬元）的生活費，如果是一家三口的家庭，則要準備約A$4,600（約港幣2.8萬元），但這只包括伙食、住屋、交通、娛樂和生活雜費，不包含小孩的教育費用。

新研究顯示，到今年 2 月為止，累計近 400 萬澳洲成年人，即接近兩成 18 歲及以上人士，曾經感染新冠病毒，該研究還指出，在 Omicron疫情期間，確診病例數字被嚴重低估。

從周二（6月21日)開始，澳航將為新冠常態化踏出重要一步。從新州、昆州和西澳出發，前往美國、英國及意大利羅馬國際直航航班上的機組人員與乘客將無須強制佩戴口罩。

究竟收到GTI invitation後再apply要等幾耐? DoHA終於公佈左數據。比起其他skill migration visas, GTI (Visa 858)真係快幾倍!
基本上只需2-3個月，不過留意返，呢係收到invitation之後起計，Submit EOI到收到invitation可能要等好耐架。都係要睇你本身夠唔夠料。

The Government intends to reinstate Migration Program planning levels to 160,000 permanent residence visas in 2022-23.
Skilled visas
Skilled stream visas will account for 70% of the program with a total of 109,900 places. This represents an increase of approximately 30,000 places over the 2021-22 program, with 20,000 of these places resulting from the overall increase in the program and 10,000 redistributed from the partner program.
Interestingly and consistent with the trends we have been noticing, the number of Global Talent visas will be reduced by almost 7000 visas. Although, the Government will provide $19.5 million over 2 years from 2022‑23 to continue the Global Business, Talent and Investment Taskforce, as the renamed Global Australia Taskforce, to attract talented individuals and international investment to Australia.
The Government contends that will further support the economic recovery by increasing the places available for skilled visa holders.

上年拎左GTI既客最近開始移民過黎啦，有唔少都諗住辭職過黎再搵過工，但無諗過HK公司竟然肯留住佢地，叫佢地繼續remote做。睇黎HK真係流失得太多人才。大家移民都可以同公司傾下有冇得keep住份工，最多交澳洲稅架嗟。

澳洲大選結果對GTI Program的影響

21/5/2022就係澳洲聯邦大選啦，唔好以為對喺HK既你無影響，其實結果會好影響移民政策，可以參考ABC News既summary。

"聯盟黨(Coalition)：莫里森政府在今年3月的預算案中宣布，將額外增加大約11,000個打工和度假簽證（462類）配額。此外，移民總配額保持在16萬不變，但技術移民配額增加3萬，家庭移民配額則減少3萬。
難民方面，聯盟黨在上次預算中宣布，將在未來四年為逃離阿富汗的難民提供額外的16,500個人道主義簽證。聯盟黨將繼續其政策，在處理尋求庇護者案件時，將運載他們的船只遣返回離岸拘留中心。
工黨(Labor)：工黨在4月初表示希望推動移民改革，讓外國臨時移民更容易成為永久居民。工黨宣布將創建新的“太平洋參與簽證”，通過抽簽制度，每年向3000名太平洋島國民提供永久居留權。申請人需要在18至45歲之間，被抽中者需要在簽證被批準前獲得一份工作錄用通知，以防止他們移民來申請福利。
難民方面，工黨也支持遣返船只和離岸處理。但工黨反對使用臨時保護簽證。工黨未表示是否會提高每年提供的人道主義簽證數量。
綠黨(Greens)：綠黨希望有一個針對澳大利亞難民和移民的永久移民計劃，優先考慮家庭團聚和人道主義入境者，並在合理時間內為移民或重新安置澳大利亞提供便利。
綠黨希望終結離岸處理以及對難民的“強制性和無限期拘留”。綠黨希望難民在他們的案件被評估時，能獲得工作權利、醫療保險和其他社會保障和教育機會。"
總括黎講，大選後新一個財政年度移民簽證將會有改變，基本上肯定既係GTI quota會由15000減到8448(已經公布咗)。

如果想申請GTI既話最好盡快submit EOI，就到財政年尾(30/6)，DoHA case officer都要跑數，盡用原本定咗嗰15000 quota，話唔定會鬆手D。
