Less is more. When I studied makeup, I had the mindset that more product is best for a flawless finish, but as I’ve evolved as a makeup artist (over the past 13+ years 🙃), I’ve learnt that nothing could be further from the truth. Officially in love with 😍
As a seasoned fake tanner, I have tried my fair share of products (insert every brand ever created), however few gain my recommendation. After trying these beautiful products for a few months, I can honestly say that they are now on my weekly rotation. The scrub is a beautiful texture and is perfect to use in the shower prior to tanning as it leaves the skin smooth and hydrated. The tanning cream is a natural bronze colour and doesn't smell like your usual "fake tan", opting for a lovely subtle scent of jasmine. The tanning cream is hydrating and also fades really evenly. Another bonus is it won't damage your white sheets or linen, as it doesn't transfer!

When you realise that .gall was made for the 70's 💣 I took inspiration from the classic warm 70's colour palette and used mostly browns and bronze tones, with a touch of black to smoke out the eyeliner. I used a strong brown lipliner and lipstick to complete the look. Blending is KEY when creating a seamless smokey look like this! Shot by our queen 💗

Dabbling in photography (& cocktail drinking) in my spare time. Save this recipe for your summer cocktail list, I promise it does not disappoint! Also follow for more.

‘Peach Cosmopolitan’ 🍑

Ingredients:
2.5oz Vodka
1oz Peach Schnapps
1oz Cranberry Juice
1oz Blood Orange Juice
1/2oz Lime Juice

Method:
1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker
2. Fill cocktail shaker with ice
3. Shake for 30s
4. Pour into a Martini glass, garnish with a peach and blood Orange slice
5. Enjoy!

Makeup has been my passion for almost 12 years now (I can’t believe I’m saying that, because WHERE has the time gone!?) I love everything about it: the creativity, the people you meet, the art, getting to highlight the beauty of different skin tones, ages, features — most of all making someone leave with a skip in their step. It’s always been about that for me, whether I’m working on a high end fashion runway or doing makeup for a 16 year old attending their first formal. Sure, there have been times when I’ve thought about putting my brushes down, as the life of a freelancer can be very unpredictable. Work can be hard(er) to come by in these times too. But it is my insatiable passion for this craft that keeps me going — and I hope keeps me going for many years to come. If anyone is reading this and is thinking about giving up on your dream, just remember that nothing worth having comes easy. I’ve been disappointed many times. But you must get up and keep fighting. I always believe that life works itself out in the end 🤍 (thank you to whoever read this far) xx

I wanted to take time to firstly say happy freaking new year! 2020 was one for the books.
