A job from last week. What was thought to be another routine inverter replacement for a non working system, turned out to be a DC isolator that had cracked and taken in water. Most likely due to poor installation, the end terminal has arked and caused it to burn out. PV systems don't turn themselves off when a fault has occurred so it is always a good idea to schedule regular maintenance.
