MOHAMMED EMRAN HOSSAIN (1979, BANGLADESH) RECEIVED BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE FROM BANGLADESH UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (BUET) IN 2004 AND MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE DEGREE FROM HARVARD UNIVERSITY, GRADUATE SCHOOL OF DESIGN IN 2007. HE WORKED AS PROJECT ARCHITECT AT VISTAARA ARCHITECTS, DHAKA, AND AS AN INSTRUCTOR AT BRAC UNIVERSITY FROM 2004 UNTIL HIS ENROLLMENT IN THE MASTER'S PROGRAM A

T HARVARD, GSD. AT STEVEN HOLL ARCHITECTS, EMRAN PRIMARILY WORKED ON 'SLICED POROSITY BLOCK' (CHENGDU, CHINA) AND AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF ' LINK HYBRID (BEIJING, CHINA) AND VANKE (SHENZHEN, CHINA) PROJECT. BESIDES HIS EXTENSIVE WORK EXPERIENCE, EMRAN HAS ALSO WON A NUMBER OF AWARDS SINCE HE WAS STUDENT; FURTHER EXEMPLIFYING HIS EXTENSIVE SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND MASTERY OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN. IN 2010, EMRAN COLLABORATED HIS DHAKA BASED PRACTICE 'PROJECT-BD ARCHITECTS' ALONG WITH ARCHITECT IMTIAJUL ALAM AND FROM 2013 HE STARTED HIS OWN PRACTICE, "ARCHITECT EMRAN & ASSOCIATES".

A true pleasure and honor, collaborating with Bayejid Mahbub Khondker bhai (Nakshabid Architects) and a team of dedicated Architects (Shibaji Bagchi, B.M. Tahammul Kabir, Toriqul Islam, Sanam Golrokh, Ahammad Al Muhaymin and Alia Shahed), Golam Rahman bhai (Environmental Scientist) and Sabbir bhai (Structural Engineer).

Greetings!

You are all cordially invited to attend the Dhaka Art Summit 2023 beginning from 3rd February 2023.

“Panoptic Islands” architectural project has been further developed and becomes “Panoptic-Organ”. It encapsulates the theme of this year’s exhibition “দ্বৈধ (Dyoidho)” and placed among some great artist’s works to offer an extended dialogue. Hope you will enjoy the piece and of course the exhibition by and large.
