Travel Lemming, a US-based online travel guide read by more than 6 million travellers, on 15 November announced its list of the top 50 destinations in the world for 2023.
Bhutan was named the best place to travel in Asia next year, and the number 2 destination overall in the world.
The annual list of 50 best places to travel highlights emerging destinations and hidden gems around the world.
Carissa Nimah, Chief Marketing Officer of The Department of Tourism, Bhutan commented: โBhutan has long practiced a policy of โhigh value, low volumeโ tourism to protect and preserve its peace, its sacred places and its wilderness. Bhutan is already an incredibly alluring destination ... yet there are still so many more layers to be revealed and shared.โ

The annual list is a collaborative project of the publicationโs team of more than 25 travel writers and editors.
