A King is born
Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice,
For on this auspicious day,
A King is born,
Happy 44th Birthday Your Majesty,
Long Live Our Beloved King.
Nestled in the Himalayas,
In the country Drukyul,
There live an extraordinary King,
Handsome and charming,
Vision farsighted,
Knowledge an ocean,
Wisdom bountiful,
Compassion boundless,
Leadership sublime.
In his warmth and care,
He’s keeping his people safe,
Emanating love and kindness,
Protecting them as a parent,
Caring for them as a brother,
Serving them as a son,
Fulfilling their hopes and aspirations,
His only goal.
In the face of adversities,
He’s the knight in shining armour,
Dispelling all their sufferings,
Unfazed, unmoved and mighty,
Like the Himalayas itself.
Like a northern star,
Steadfast and radiating,
He’s guiding his troops,
Showing them,
The light at the end of the tunnel.
Your Majesty,
Our King, peoples King,
Our Superhero,
Privileged are we, your subjects,
Basking in the sun of peace, happiness and prosperity,
Your omniscient presence,
Calm and comforting,
Your voice,
Resolute and reassuring.
Your Majesty,
Blessed are we,
Your subjects,
Living in a heavenly realm,
With Your Majesty at the helm,
Liberating all our woes,
Against all the foes.
In this degenerate times,
Seldom heard of such a bodhisattva,
Who always puts his peoples interest first,
Such selfless is our extraordinary King.
Oh how fortunate,
To be the recipient,
Of care immense,
Love immeasurable.
Zillions and zillions of merits,
One must have accumulated,
To be of such beneficiary,
Being born in Bhutan,
Under your dynamic leadership.
His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck
