Our guests, Ms. Ines and Mr. Rui, scouts from Portugal met with young Bhutanese scouts, exchanged scarves and had some fun activities with them. They had the opportunity to share experiences, traditions, and perspectives, fostering international friendship through the universal language of scouting. It was a very special moment for our guests and we were equally thrilled to have been there.

Bhutan is a land where tradition meets modernity. It is a living museum where ancient cultural heritage is a big part of the county and its citizens’ identity and pride. It’s quite like the phenomenon of tidal locking. The moon takes the same time to rotate around its own axis as it does to revolve around earth, and that is why we always see the same side of the moon. They’re tidally locked. Bhutan’s past, present and future keep going in circles, each fascinated by the other, unable to part.
