Welcome to our family cottage, which is located on a private waterfront lot on tranquil Purdy Lake. If you are looking for a peaceful, private cottage, with a beautiful lake view and undisturbed shorelines, look no further. Purdy lake has remarkable crystal clear waters, and is known for bass, pike, pickerel and lake trout. You’ll have hours of enjoyment on the water in the canoe and 2 kayaks which are included with your rental. You can take a scenic paddle around the lake, or stop at the lake island to explore. Plunge into the lake or fish from the floating dock which is also included in your stay.
Our fully loaded, recently renovated cottage is very clean and well maintained. It is complete with all the amenities you will need for a restful week’s stay. The cottage boasts 3 Bedrooms (comfortably sleeps 7). Master bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has both a double bed and a single bed. There are also 2 single pullout mattresses should guests need additional sleeping surfaces. The cottage has a full 3 piece bathroom. You will appreciate the cozy living room and dining room. Meal prep will seem much more relaxing as you enjoy the beautiful lake view from the picturesque patio windows. The fully finished kitchen is equipped with modern amenities (small appliances, dishes, cookware, fridge, stove/oven, microwave). The sunroom allows cottagers to continue to experience a covered outdoor space, even on rainy days, or cool nights. The large L-shaped deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, sipping afternoon beverages, or entertaining. Enjoy outdoor grilling on the propane BBQ. The fun doesn’t stop when the sun sets. Don’t forget marshmallows for roasting, as there is an outdoor campfire pit for your evening entertainment. A washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.

Purdy lake is situated between Bancroft and Barry’s Bay. These towns offer many amenities such as a Hospital, local farmer’s market, large retailers, drug store, banks, ATM, quaint shopping boutiques, grocery stores, restaurants, LCBO, Tim Horton’s, and famous Kawartha Dairy ice cream shop.
Conveniently located only 2.5 hours from Toronto and 2.5 hours from Ottawa, this cottage is suitable for the family who wants to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of cottage life. For the more adventurous, Purdy provides an ideal base for hiking and day tripping: from white water rafting on the Madawaska River, to guided horseback wilderness tours, from excursions to nearby Algonquin Park to exploring the Bonnechere Caves. The choice is yours to enjoy a wonderful vacation.
