This winter is gonna be snowy! Which means great for all you ski lovers!

More good news hopefully:
NOAA puts the chances of a La Niña event in 2017 – 2018 at 55-60%. La Niña events can drastically affect the seasonal snowfall for ski resorts across North America by shifting the jet stream northward, making for a colder and more precipitous winter for the majority of the northern Rockies and PNW.

Who wants to see a grizzly bear? This is Grizzly #122, also known as "The Boss", the largest and most badass grizzly in Banff, Yolo and Kootenay National Park!

You don’t always see “The Boss” while you’re driving through the mountains (yes, that’s his actual name, and he’s the biggest, baddest grizzly in Banff National Park), but when you do, make a mental note to stay in your car and pick up your jaw from the floor.

If you go to the Radium hot springs between October and November, chances are you may see some Bighorn Sheeps on the way! It is about an hour and a half drive from Banff, or 3h from Calgary. It may seems far, but you have lots to do on the way! Perfect for a two or more days trip!

Canada is wildlife central and BC arguably has the most diverse species on offer, from green herons and grizzly bears to orcas and trumpeter swans. Fall is prime time.

A fireball, aka very bright meteor, landed very close to one of our favourite ski resorts, Sunshine Village, on the 4th, with over 200 witnesses! Can't imagine what will happen if it landed on Sunshine!

Northern light/aurora TONIGHT all over Canada!

Tip: Head out of the city to avoid lights for the best viewing. That means, Banff and surrounding areas are some good choices!
