Fall is here, which means it's rutting season in Alberta's Canadian Rockies.

From August until mid-October, these massive creatures are on a mission to protect their females during breeding season, making them much more aggressive this time of year.

When exploring the great outdoors in the fall, exercise extra caution and save these tips to avoid negative elk encounters:

➡️ Maintain a safe distance of at least 30 metres and never approach wildlife
➡️ Never get in between a male and a female elk during the rut
➡️ Carry bear spray and know how to use it
➡️ Travel in groups when possible
➡️ If you notice signs of stress or aggression, back away slowly and give them plenty of space
➡️ Keep your dog on a leash at all times
➡️ Consider taking guided a tour to learn more about the animals and their habitat

One random day we just decided to give it a try and so we gave to our regulars and some friends to try.
It is now one of our most popular dishes since we opened🙌🏻
Since we make our own vindaloo sauce it tends to be a bit extra spicy for some people from what they might have it before somewhere else. Some love it some don’t.

Give it a try on your next visit if you haven’t yet. We also can make it less spicier and give a little extra on the side so that you can adjust to your liking, just let your server know😊
