Have you ever wondered what makes Canada's lakes so blue?
It's actually down to glacial flour! A mountain glacier and its underlying bedrock partner, produce glacial flour, or glacial silt, consistently. 🏔
The glacial blue hue is most visible in bright sunshine, when sunlight reflects back to our eyes, the glacial flour floating in the upper layer of the glacial lake water. The more of this glacial milk mixture there is, the more turquoise it appears!! 🌀

A few group photos from last week's trip to Whistler! 🧳 🚌
This 2-day trip ensures you see as much as possible from Vancouver to Whistler, including cascading waterfalls, panoramic city views, jaw-dropping sea and mountain views on the sea-to-sky highway and of course, Whistler itself! 🏔
