Book lovers from Helensburgh Community Hub, Jeans Bothy and Helensburgh and Lomond Carers Centre SCIO enjoyed a lovely afternoon with us last Friday listening to best selling author Jim Crumley talking about the changing seasons on the Loch.

Loch Lomond in May is the month for bluebells. A sea of deep violet blue they are a sure sign spring is in full swing.
Inchcailloch Island is a magical place to visit at any time of the year but in May, its bluebell wood is an incredible wildflower spectacle. If you get the chance to come out to Loch Lomond over the next couple of weeks then this is a wonderful day out.

3 OF THE BEST NATURE WALKS AT LOCH LOMOND BY ⛴️

1. INVERSNAID RAINFOREST
Did you know we have rainforest at Loch Lomond? The RSPB nature reserve at Inversnaid is an internationally important example of rare Atlantic Oakland, a habitat so rich it is also referred to as temperate rainforest!
Catch our daily Inversnaid Explorer cruise from Tarbet to Inversnaid.

2. INCHCAILLOCH ISLAND
Take a picnic to an adventure island 🧺
Inchcailloch is truly a special place, with a pretty beach at Port Bawn, beautiful woodland walks across the island and steeped in history and folklore it gives you a feeling of remoteness whilst only a short cruise from the mainland.
You can catch our daily Island Explorer cruise from Luss.

CLIMB CONIC HILL ⛰️
With its newly built path, Conic Hill is looking super smart. A steep climb that rewards hikers with breathtaking panoramic vistas.
The trail begins from Balmaha car park and from there, it's a steady ascent up the hill. The path can be rocky and uneven in places, so sturdy footwear is recommended. As you climb, you'll pass through woodland before emerging onto the open hillside. Look out for red squirrels.🐿️

Delighted the Osprey have made it safely back to Loch Lomond after their winter break in West Africa.
Spotted in the southern end of the loch by our skippers, it’s always a sure sign that summer is just around the corner.

DOGS GO FREE 🐕
Loch Lomond is a dogs paradise, lots of water to swim in, smells in abundance, trails to explore and hills to run up.
That’s why we welcome dogs on board for free. This is Hector and Yogi who joined us last week for a cruise 😍 who’s a good boy?!!

The sun is back at Loch Lomond! 👏👏 what a beautiful day here at our National Park. *Sailings have resumed at Tarbet and Luss.

What a fun day we had yesterday when we welcomed a lovely contingent of visitors from Siemens India on board 🇮🇳 Lots of dancing, fabulous music and delicious homemade samosa. The trip was run brilliantly by ZOZO DMC and Lomond park hotel, Balloch.

What a beautiful morning!

Delighted that our lovely boat The Lomond Laird is back on the water. She hasn’t sailed for 4 years and now after an overhaul and refit she is looking great and ready to welcome passengers on board this summer.
