First time for me to see the truly amazing reconstruction of a 17th c Creel House in Glencoe, accessible though the informative Visitors Centre : it took one year to build: mud, peat, heather, wooden structure plus wattle and daub...imagine the hard life in the 17th c - obviously you are sharing your home with your cattle!

Grey but dry day in Argyll yesterday - off for a Castle Lachlan - 15th c ruin of the Maclachlan's - explore.( about 20 miles down a single track road past Strachur on Loch Fyne )
Note the " new " house in Scottish baronial style across from the ruin and the romantic location of this ruined tower house -
plus the celebrated " Inver " Restaurant and Rooms ( pods ) in the former white painted croft.....( closed at the moment but re-opening )
