Blackbird on shovel

On the last weekend of July, The Hidden Gardens hosted a sculpture garden event in Helen's beautiful garden. It was a great success, raising quite a bit of money for the Peggy Dodd Centre for dementia sufferers and their families. Lots of scrummy tea and cakes were sold as well as a number of pieces of sculpture. It was a lovely event and thank you to everyone who attended.

This last Thursday we had a tour in the rain with the members of Visit Bath. Although the weather was not at its best, we had a very nice time and the gardens and their gardeners shown beautifully. Our umbrellas added their own splash of colour. We visited the gardens of Jane in Combe Down, John at the Brew House in Southstoke, and the Tasburgh House in Bathampton, where we were treated to a magnificent tea. Thank you so much to our hosts and also to all those from Visit Bath who joined us for our enjoyable wet trek.
