We’re a local Branch of one of the UK’s largest friendly societies, the Oddfellows, which has a 200-year-plus tradition of creating opportunities for people to meet up and make friends, as well as supporting its members in times of need. We’re a not-for-profit, mutual society, where we’re run by our members, for our members. We’re based at Oddfellows Hall in Burton upon Trent. We run events and ha

ve members across our District which stretches from Uttoxeter in the west through Burton upon Trent to Swadlincote (south Derbyshire) in the east down to Tamworth & Lichfield. We host inexpensive social events as well as one-off special activities. Why not ‘like’ our page and we’ll keep you posted on what’s coming up and how you can get involved. These are just some the regular events that we hold at the Unity Hall in All Saint Road, Burton. Everyone is welcome to attend. Badminton – every Monday & Wednesday morning at 9.30am-12.00 noon. Monday evenings, 7pm-9pm. If you want to keep fit for fun, come & have a friendly game. Short Mat Bowls – every Wednesday at 2pm-4pm. A chance to make new friends and enjoy a gentle sport – with a break for refreshments and a chat. All playing equipment is provided; all you need are flat shoes. 25p per week for the refreshments. If you have a question about any of our events, simply contact us by phone or email.

2 Members of the Burton-on-Trent District joined members of Plymouth and Truro District for an informative talk at Camborne Parish Church of Saint Martin of Tours , France and Saint Meriadoc of Stival, Brittany. Which includes a stained glass window which was presented by the Loyal Bassett Lodge in 1863.

Oddfellows Brass at Maurice Lea Memorial Park, Common Road, Church Gresley at 1.30pm Sunday 11th August.🎶🎷

Maurice Lea Memorial Park was presented to the District by a local entrepreneur, Herbert Lea, in remembrance of his son Maurice who was killed in France during the First World War. It was created in 1930 and was restored in 2005, funded by a Heritage Lottery grant.

Sunday 30th June saw 61 Members and friends from Deeside District, Derby Derwent Valley District, Heart of England District, Mid Staffs District, Severn and Trent District, Worcester District and theMr P Laffey, CEO of the YMCA Burton on Trent & District joined the Burton-upon-Trent District at our Annual District Church Service at St Modwen's Parish Church, which the Reverend Robin Trotter officiated at. Then back to Oddfellows Hall for refreshments from Woodland Catering.
