New Exhibition coming to Wray next month!
Other Everests: One Mountain, Many Worlds, opens on 8 June in the Castle. This free exhibition marks the centenary of the 1924 Mount Everest expedition.

National Trust Cultural Heritage Curator, Harvey Wilkinson, has worked with historian Dr Jonathan Westaway from UCLAN, to tell the almost forgotten story of the Sherpas who worked on the mountain and their contribution to the 1920s expeditions to Everest.

See fascinating archives from the Royal Geographical Society and the Mountain Heritage Trust, with stunning photographs presented in large-format vivid lightboxes and displays of artefacts, including the now famous recreation of George Mallory’s climbing outfit found when his body was finally discovered on Everest in 1999.

Free entry. Car parking charges apply to non-National Trust members.

August availability is currently GOOD - currently booked in 8th to the 12th; and 23rd to 26th; all other dates available.

We are on South Lakeland Leisure Village LA6 1BH and we are a pet free and smoke free 2 bedroom, two bathroom property with potential to sleep 5 or 6.

AVAILABLE 12th May to 30th May £130 per night for Friends and Family.

Updated photos for 2024 as the spring/summer season is upon us.

£110 per night until 1st May, then £130-£150 per night from 1st May to 1st November. £90 cleaning charge per booking unless booking for 7 nights.

Please see photos of the twin room set for three children. If you would like to take this option please let us know at booking. There is also the option of a sofa bed, but we would need to know this at booking too. It doesn't change the price!
