Caer Caradoc Shepards Cottage.
After calling about so many local removal companies, the only one BRAVE enough to tackle this important job for me and my future guests was Shrewsbury Removals Service. They agreed to help! They made it look very easy, I think they moved the two hot tubs in less then an hour! I still paid them for 3 hours as a tip because I'm just thankful to the team that neither of the 2 hot tubs got damaged. 😅 Plus I felt bad for the 2 chaps who had to walk up the track behind the trailer.
This is how you get a hot tub up here!
I've finished the last retreat today, I'll post my other two videos of the other two retreats this week. Please pick your favourite one you would stay in as I'll be doing my usual little festive Christmas Eve free giveaway, ready for the reopen in Spring.
👀Revamp of this lodge in January. The bathroom will be knocked through from the bedroom so no more going outside. 😩 And the rest a surprise.
FIREWORKS WEEKEND! Very last minute cancellation for our Cosy Cabin for tonight & tomorrow. She's all cleaned and ready for this evening check in. IF ANYONE would like a 2 night stay this weekend, watch the local fireworks from your cabin, or trec up Caradoc for an awesome view! Could do a 1 night tomorrow if this 2 nighter doesn't go. 07880747079 please call directly or text. £100 a night
A £80 secondhand bath, sat outside, under a big tree! Who was, who said people won't bother with a bath outdoors?? 🤔
A special mention to Abbey for sending me her videos from last weekend. Also to the other friendly couples who came to stay since we opened, thank you kindly for your 5* reviews and lovely emails after your stay!
Hello Glampers!!! We are opening back up for April. It's still abit cold to start my painting outside. And we are also adding more decking areas around the cottage and lodge. We are adding baths 🛀outside as well as the hot tubs. Privacy fencing will also be going up. Outdoor beds will also be added to soak up the sunny days and warm evenings. We are doing things on a budget so lots of upcycling and creating stuff from pallets and free stuff people are chucking out! This helps us keep our prices good valve. When I went glamping last month, I paid £200 a night for a posh tent and an electric hot tub! To be honest, it wasn't worth the price tag! I love my quirky cheap nights away!
All will also have a honest bar with nibbles inside each place. We were unable to build more, due to restrictions this year and the cost of everything that's gone up. 😢 but hopefully some little improvements to our place will make it more beautiful and magical. ✨️
I've managed to find a fantastic plumber, so he is on board and will be cracking on once the decked areas are finished to do the baths. So certainly by April, we will be back hosting couples again, with some added improvements. 👌
For us, sadly Caroline has had to get another job while we have been closed so she has left Hillside retreat but Ray is still with us, ready to help me host and do hot tubs. 🔥 The change I want to do is, after I've cleaned the cabins, I'll be then lighting all of the hot tubs for everyone's arrival. So all hot tubs will be hot by 5pm. I will be employing a cleaner to help me during the busy months. I am now living 5 minutes from my glamping site so it's easier for me to be on site should anyone need help or wood restocking up. So yes a house move is in progress this week. 🙌 During my time off, if I've been glamping myself, spent quality time with my boy and seeing friends and family and turned 37, feel old! My birthday present was a house so I can't grumble and also a furniture sho
We are coming to the end of our first summer season, although it was very very busy, we still found time to have fun at work. Happy memories! Now getting ready for whatever autumn will bring us. I'll miss the colours of the flowers 💐 in full bloom. 😢 1 week left of high season. 🙌
From daybeds to hot tubs, sheds and summerhouses, we find a way to get them up the hill. Living offgrid can have its challenges. But as usual we overcome these, with either a trailer or abit of rope. 🤣
The house on the hill: 1 night booking with a hot tub. £135.
My personal favourite is the old shepards cozy cottage. She has the best hot tub and the best views! She has a large outdoor daybed just been added. The bed now is directly under the roof window, ideal to sleep under the stars on warm evenings. Roll top bath, a flushing loo, so she's abit more easy glamping.
Spare 1 nights between my airbnb diary are as follows: (Please message or give us a call to book, once payment of £135 is received, we will then mark it as booked).

Church Stretton has a Thai takeaway & Restaurant. We will be putting their menus in the welcome pack, should you want to try them out. Lovely friendly owners and fabulous food.
We are closed till Friday, work commences for drilling for more caradoc water. Without this, we won't have enough water to fill hot tubs, nevermind a big swimming pool. So a crucial job to help us keep open.
I mention swimming pool..last year we had some baking hot days. So to cool down, my idea is to erect a communal large deep cold water pool, with adult lilos and water games.
For me, I shall take these quiet few days and enjoy some hiking with my mate and a night of camping in the hidden cave. I will take a tent just incase, as I've never found the cave.
I'm giving a metal detector and hunting for long lost coins ago and abit of late night star gazing around a camp fire.
So we are glad to have some downtime.
A how to guide to lighting a wood burning hot tub.
The Cabin video. £100 a night 2 people. 1 night min stay. Take a look!
