We are THRILLED to confirm that we’ll be lowering the drawbridge for you again from the start of August. 🎉

We’ll be opening up access to the external areas of the castle and prioritising access to interior areas where you can keep on social distancing. By the end of August we’ll have opened up extra indoor spaces, with your safety in mind at all times.

We’re still working on the details, but keep an eye on our channels to find out how we’ll be managing this using pre-booking, contactless payment, one-way systems and limited capacity.

In the meantime, from Wednesday 15 July you can travel to over 200 Historic Scotland free open air sites where it’s easy to stay 2m apart - plus the GROUNDS of Doune Castle, Caerlaverock Castle and Dundonald Castle!
