We are led to understand that the television signal being delivered to The Bay is patchy at best at the moment. This is a site-wide reoccurring problem, which The Bay have been trying to combat for a while now.

Anyone staying at Puffin Cottage, Filey can use television streaming apps using the Xbox.

Failing this, please use the Amazon Firestick (unplug it and switch it back on to wake it up if it has gone to sleep).

Instructions for both can be found in the Guest Booklet.

The old tennis court at The Bay was starting to look "a little bit rundown", so they have resurfaced it as you can see in the photograph. If you fancy booking a tennis session, contact the leisure centre at The Bay. It looks amazing!

Filey Bistro and Coffee Lounge, in Filey, is a great place to go for a good range of snacks and meals. The staff are really friendly and helpful, always eager to please.

We explored Glen Gardens, Filey Maze and Crescent Gardens, finding some interesting information about John Paul Jones, and saw some lovely Gardens.

From Peasholm Park, you can take the Miniature Railway from Scarborough to Scalby Mills, where there is an exciting crazy golf course, the Sea Life Centre, an awesome pub meal and a brilliant beach. Well worth the money!

Peasholm Park, Scarborough has an amazing pedalo lake, with gardens in the middle. We enjoyed our time this afternoon. The weather was lovely, and the cakes at the cafe were delicious.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon out at Bridlington Animal Park today. A really interesting range of animals, some quite rare including 2 of only 6 rare wild cats to be found in Europe. Play Area, guinea pig handling, feeding bags (the goats were especially hungry), etc. They don't have a cafe in the Animal Park site, but there is one in the car park which caters for nearby caravan park guests and Animal Park visitors.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the first episode of David Attenborough's Wild Isles this week, especially this segment about the brave and tenacious puffins battling through these vicious gulls, so that they can get their fish to their babies x

We enjoyed an amazing visit to the Steampuss Cat Lounge in Scarborough. The owners have 15 cats which live at home with them, and they bring 8-9 with them to the cafe every day. As you can see from the photographs, they are very keen to have a fuss, tummy tickle or stroke. The owners ask you not to feed the cats, but you can borrow some cat toys to play with them. It is a very relaxing environment for visitors, owners and cats. The owners look after their cats really well, even providing a "quiet space" for them to escape to if they need some time to themselves. "Spa music" accentuates this feline-friendly calming atmosphere. Also the food and drink is delicious, making the Steampuss Cat Lounge a must-visit for anyone who enjoys the company of cats 🐈 😻
