Ooh will you find one!

Here we go…. 🥚🐣
50 golden eggs to be placed along the coastal path ready for good Friday morning
Prizes range from seafood platters to a night away in one of our gorgeous bedrooms.
Please note the eggs will be along the coastal path from Brancaster Staithe to Burnham Overy Staithe - they will not stray too far from the path, so please do not go into peoples gardens etc.
We also have buckets behind reception, collect one and return it full of rubbish and we will reward you for cleaning up our coastline with a chocolate egg, one bucket per family.
Please please please remember this is a free event and we do not gain anything from it, but showcasing our beautiful coastline - with great prizes on offer not everyone will be able to find an egg. We are limiting the egg finds to 2 per group this year, so if you find more than 2 please be kind by hiding it again. The event will run until the eggs are all found or the end of the holidays which ever is first. If all eggs are found over the Easter weekend, we will put a few more out to spread the fun.
For every egg found we will donate a chocolate egg to Kings Lynn Hospital 🥚

We have just done our little bit for RSPB The Big Garden Birdwatch.
We saw 4 Blackbirds, 11 Woodpigeons, 4 Long-tailed t**s, 16 jackdaws, 2 Seagulls, a House Sparrow and a Robin. Sad we didn’t see the, Kestrals, Blue t**s and Wrens this year, but they have been about. 🐦🦉🦢🦅

Here is this weeks situation with the seal count at Horsey and Winterton. Thank you to the FoHS count Team who do this every week during the breeding season

Afternoon all

Today we have completed the weekly seal count so we now have more information to share!!

If you are not aware we count every groyne between Waxham and Winterton. This is done by our dedicated count team who do this in all weather!!

This information is also sent and analysed by St Andrews university in Edinburgh who Colate information from breeding grounds around the UK.

So todays count has 714 Adults 61 pups born this week and the current running total is 68!!

We will continue to update you on a weekly basis!

The seals at Horsey Gap are back to their usual mischief!

One seal was caught smirking at the camera whilst another was given a crazy hair do by the waves as he came out of the water.

It will soon be pupping season again and Norfolk’s beaches will be covered in seals with their young pups.

Amazing to see the Seal colony back again on our beaches, photo taken today (didn't get close - used a long lens). 15 minute drive from our lovely barn conversion, the seals are back in Norfolk to have their pups between now and February
