"We stayed Friday to Sunday for a family members 60th birthday. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children.
Ian was extremely responsive from the start.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.
Lovely welcome gift!
Ian spent time showing us round the farm which the children loved! They even had the chance to bottle feed the lambs!
Our boys loved playing football on the huge garden with Ian and Anne’s dog, Ruby!! And also playing on the play area.
We would recommend this place to anyone and we definitely plan on returning!!"

"We had a lovely stay. Ian & Ann were very helpful hosts - friendly and welcoming, providing clear directions to the house and recommendations for local restaurants. The house is located in a beautiful setting and we were thrilled to visit the farm. On the day of our visit we were able to see a baby calf that was just 2 days old and also observed sheep shearing in action! The house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children - the children loved the play area.
We would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying her with our two girls aged 4 and 8 months! The property was cosy, well furnished and extremely clean. Everything we needed has been thought of - from kitchen roll to high chairs- and was discreetly hidden away, so it was a lovely clear space. Beds were very comfortable and we all had a great night sleep. Ian kindly showed my daughter and I around the farm and we saw all the newly born lambs. A wonderful experience. This was an excellent, quiet location after a busy day at a Eureka; the Alma Inn, with excellent food and drink, is only a short drive down the road. Thank you for the welcome gifts you left us too! The wine & biscuits were such a treat. A perfect stay for any group but especially families."

🌟✨ Another Memorable Stay at Thornton Park! 🏡🐑

Dear Ian and Anne,

Thank you for our wonderful stay once again. Isla-Grace (age 9) and Teddy both loved the climbing frame, and Isla-Grace especially enjoyed the amazing views from the swings. We really love staying here and hope to come again next year. Exploring the farm was absolutely amazing, especially seeing the baby lambs being born and feeding them. We would highly recommend this place to other people!

And to Ian, Anne, Jack, and the whole family,

Thank you so much for the welcome gifts and warm welcome. We have all had a fantastic time. Watching the lambs being born was amazing. The views are amazing and the home is spotless, comfy, and couldn’t wish for anything more. Pure bliss. Thank you for showing the children all of the farm & Easter egg hunt with your lovely family. We have already booked for next year, our 4th visit. PERFECT!

It is an ideal base for visiting Huddersfield, Leeds, Manchester, York, the Yorkshire Dales and being on the Lancashire border could also be used for a base for crossing the border to visit all that Lancashire has to offer. It is perfect for walkers and those wishing to explore the North of England.
