Unexpected bonus on a stormy day in Harris when the sun appeared for much of the afternoon. Second beach at , then , Northton sands with in the distance then and Greabhal, all my favourites seen within walking distance of home. And without having to climb a hill!

Late summer and autumn's a lovely time to come to Harris, less busy and easier to get those 'we're alone on an empty beach/hill' pics. There's some availability at 28 Northton, with great views of the hills and the huge Northton sands. Book it before it's gone!

The and are back! Mr corncrake’s at the bottom of the drive and there are a couple more in the village. But sorry, no pictures, too elusive. Instead last year’s new rowan his survived the winter and the sun shone in 🦅😊🏖 next week and others available in September and October.

Just back from a wild and woolly walk on , this is a fabulous time of year to experience ! The 1.5 mile long Scarista is just 5 minutes drive from us here at . Or you could walk down to one of the 4 beaches at the end of the road ... or just open the window and hear the crashing waves... 🌊🌊🌊
