Over the many years of running my laundry business I occasionally come across black marks/lines on customers white bed linen the reason for this is whilst the customer is washing it, the seals around the washing machine door have not been cleaned & a built up of limescale has built up around the seal, I’m often asked by many of you what they can do about it.
What I highly recommend is don’t go out & buy expensive washing machine cleaners, instead next time you go out to the supermarket buy yourself a bag of soda crystals they cost around £1 a bag, put half a bag in the empty drum of your washing machine & put it on the hottest wash possible (do this once a month) this will clean your door seal & pipes of your washing machine leaving it smelling fresh & clean & also it will avoid the black lines/marks on your washing.
