We’re just about ready to launch! All rooms finished & ready to accept guests. It’s been full on, we’re both tired now, particularly having to work in the heat, but feeling positive. All we need now are bookings..

I haven’t been here for a while, too busy decorating! We’ve had so many hold ups, but hopefully after we’ve made a few final touches we’ll be able to start welcoming guests. 2nd bedroom needed work on the dilapidated floorboards, but now painted & ready to hang curtains etc. Love the bright airy feel.

I haven’t been here for a while - working to get cottage up & running but so many hold ups, we’re now spending most days decorating. Nearly there! Hopefully final job was 2nd bedroom & stairs. Bedroom floorboards were in a horrific state so filled as many gaps as I could & painted. Love the fresh light feel to this room. Hanging curtains etc tomorrow..

Devon hedges. The best time to visit rural Devon is in the spring, first to see the bluebells, and later in May - June when the hedges are full of wild flowers - pink campion, foxgloves, purple vetch, orchids, white stitchwort, and many more. Just a short walk from Wrens cottage.

Gorgeous day - chilling in the garden. Spent the morning sanding floors with Jules, so I think we deserve a break!

Made a start on upstairs & downstairs hall floors. Picking up edging sander tomorrow. Happy with the results so far after 2 hours work this morning. (Jules did the heavy stuff!) Surprised at condition of floorboards, we were expecting a lot worse.
