Great evening catching up with Wayne. We put a top rope up on “Grim Reaper” for a bit of fun.
It looks like some of the flake below the peg has gone making the reach up a little harder (for the short!).
Always fun catching up with Wayne can’t for him to get back to full strength after his surgery. 🩹

Sunday was a great end to an awesome few days down in West Penwith, it was too hot to climb some of the routes we had in mind, so we cruised around on some easier routes hiding from the sun! . “Double Overhang” “Slippery Slab” “Slippery Chute” Then it was time for ice cream. Even Skye had a doggy ice cream. 🍦

Great to second Charlie up “Zig Zag” this morning. After wiping the sun cream sweat from my eyes we had a look at a couple of other routes. Then deciding it was too hot and humid so we went for a cold drink. Now sat here hoping for cooling temps tomorrow. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤷🏻‍♂️

I had a go on “Gillian” a few years ago with but we didn’t get very far. So today I put a top rope up to work the lower section and get reacquainted with the poor gear!🥹 Then we waited for the sun to come around the corner and dry off the salty sea breeze grease. After about twenty minutes it was good to go so I tied in and went for it. It climbed like a dream! Once up to the pockets it was all new. What a great climb. Charlie seemed to breeze the second. What a great afternoon. 😁🤙🏼

“Threaders” : To be fed up, to have had enough of something.
Feeling blessed and Threaders at the same time. This evening we walked to the Raven Wall Area to have a look at “Kafoozoolem” an old Frank Cannings route that got a free assent in 77 by D Banks. I’ve wanted to on-site this route for a while. Tonight was the night but on arrival the route was super warm and greasy to the touch, even at 1900hrs. So we walked away to try again another day. 🧗🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️.

A nice evening climb at sennen. Charlie and I climbed “Smeagol” with committing moves in an airy location this route deserves a star!

Yesterday’s little sesh at the with . I climbed the first pitch of Fruit Flan case to put up a top rope so Charlie and Louise could session the thuggy steep crack. We all had a blast climbing that great first pitch.

A cracking day out if a wee bit damp in the morning!! Chaz and I climbed Clogwyn y Parson Arête. A mountaineering route that definitely deserves its three stars. As we came to the top and looked down the other side and we could see the crowded paths leading to Snowden’s summit, sometimes it’s nice to enjoy the solitude.

Don’t go chasing waterfalls!😝 hiding from the southerly winds on the Idwal Slabs but we couldn’t hide from the rain! We still had lots of fun and an awesome adventure.

A fantastic day out with Chaz yesterday on our mountaineering day. Five graded scrambles in ascent and three in descent. A full on day but very satisfying, time for a well earned beer.

A great after work climb at the Dewerstone.
The main crag was busy with large group enjoying what the dewerstone had to offer, so we carried on up the path to In Extremis Buttress and we climbed La Bête Noire and Meilleurs Chiens du Monde

A great day with Chaz grabbing some early season mileage at the Dewerstone. We climbed “Colonel’s Arête”, “Route B”, “Reverse Cleft” and “Pinnacle Buttress Direct”. It was such a nice day warm and dry. Perfect!🤙🏼

Great to grab a quick afternoon climbing with Charlie at Haytor, we warmed up on “Levitation VS 4b” and the Charlie led the strong “Outward Bound HVS 4c” a cracking led!🤙🏼

I’ve just got back from a busy week scouting locations in the Wadi Rum. It’s a great place but super hot at the moment. It was great to be working with and again. Great team!🤙🏼
