Fisherman's Cottage, Laxey

Fisherman's Cottage is a recently renovated traditional Manx cottage in the pretty coastal village of Laxey in the Isle of Man. Each of the three bedrooms offers either twin beds or a superking (6ft) double, with luxurious mattresses, quality linens and pillows to ensure guest comfort. The master bedroom has a contemporary ensuite shower room and a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden. There is

a traditional family bathroom with bath tub/thermostatic shower and WC which is shared between the remaining two bedrooms. The ground floor offers spacious open plan living accommodation comprising of a bright and airy dining space and a cosy lounge with wood burning stove. The kitchen was newly fitted in 2016 and is fully equipped with amenities such as fridge freezer, oven, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. French doors open out on to the sunny rear patio. The cottage is situated on a quiet village road with parking at the front and a large terraced garden to the rear of the property. Fisherman's Cottage is a two minute walk to the sleepy harbour and beach where there is a village pub, an award winning Italian restaurant and a beach cafe. Venture a little further and you can follow the river along from the Shore Hotel up to the Laxey Woolen Mills. Wander up to the charming Laxey station to board a tram headed for Douglas, Ramsey or the summit of Snaefell, or head up to the Great Laxey Wheel to marvel at this incredible piece of Victorian engineering, also known as the Lady Isabella.
