Mark had to carry out some repairs to the gramophone but it's running fine again now.
Please take care not to overwind it, it's getting on a bit now and it could break the spring . Happy to show anyone how it works and there is an instruction manual in the tigger folder if you want to be a real enthusiast 😀
Hoping it brings lots of enjoyment to many more guests, I just love hearing it played.

Do not swim or use inflatables in the Dyfi estuary, or on Ynyslas beach - the currents are incredibly strong, and there is no lifeguarding service on the reserve. Stay safe over the bank holiday 🙏🏾

Come for a wander through the woodland with Ben....this permissive path will take you out to the entrance of the lane to Afon Mel, the Honey Farm. It's a bit soggy even now in August, but doable in walking boots. In these conditions it is best to enter the woods from the bridleway on Lon y Felin, as the section near our home is even wetter 😌.Even with weeks of sunshine the bridleway can get a bit waterlogged, but it's a lovely peaceful walk

Managed to squeeze in a quick visit to the cottage museum at Llanon. It is only open in August, Monday to Saturday 2 until 4pm.
It was tiny but so interesting, I love history and this is what our home would have been like around 270 years ago! Can you imagine a life like that. No running water, you collected water from the river, no electricity, you lit rushes that burned for only 20 minutes, no washing machine just a tin tub and mangle, no tv, no phone, no supermarket , no car, heating from only the fire on which you cooked, no toilet, no shower . That's when life was hard.
Just up the lane is a beautiful listed thatched cottage, private residence but worth a glimpse as you walk by
