Charcoal Chorus presents 'Narciso'

Charcoal Chorus presents 'Narciso' An ensemble of artists interested in using raw materials and low-fi technology to re-arrange myths for the modern man (Umbria, Italy) in July 2011.

We have been invited to create and perform a piece of theatre in the beautiful village theatre Piccolo Teatro Della Concordia, in Montecastello di Vibio. This is an incredible opportunity for us to collaborate with and share a unique experience with the local village community and raise international awareness of its theatre and its work. We are devising a piece called 'Narciso'; inspired by the

myth of Echo and Narcissuss, our play will draw on themes of inexpressible love; owning one’s image and finding your voice and losing it. Our performance will be a playful exploration of the meeting of two cultures and languages and, moreover, a celebration of diverse visual traditions. We are using live music, hand drawn animations, kinetic set sculptures and snippets of dance to tell our tale!
