The tour is designed to maximise your chances of witnessing the amazing Northern Lights, travelling with experienced guides and staying at Hotel Selfoss on the South Coast with great views in all directions. You will be in the vicinity of volcanoes and glaciers, driving along black volcanic sands and glacial rivers. It’s aslo time to jump in a super jeep, strap on your crampons and step onto the mighty ice cave of Myrdalsjokull glacier. Visit a rift valley, an erupting geyser and the breathtaking waterfalls of Gullfoss, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss. You also get to immerse yourself in the wonderful warmth and luxury of steaming geothermal water. The lovely Riverside spa at Hotel Selfoss is inspired by icelandic nature and The Blue Lagoon is a world famous wellness and spa attraction.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Welcome to Iceland
Transfer from Keflavik airport to your first night stay at Grand Hotel Reykjavik including spa access.

DAY 2: The Golden Circle
You will meet the guide in the hotel reception at 8:45 . We tour the famous Golden Circle with Thingvellir National Park, the Great Geysir hot spring area, and Gullfoss the Golden waterfall. At the end of the day we will enjoy a welcome drink and a short
film about the Northern Lights at Hotel Selfoss. Evening hunt for the Northern Lights one of the nights while staying in Selfoss (weather dependent).

DAY 3: Volcanoes, Ice Cave & Waterfalls
Today, we travel along the southern coastline, with white glacier tongues, cascading waterfalls, and rugged hills around the infamous volcano Eyjafjallajökull, topped of with the magnificent Katla Ice Cave.
Overnight at Hotel Selfoss.

DAY 4: Blue Lagoon & Reykjavik City Tour
Today we visit the Reykjanes peninsula to bathe in the healing waters of the Blue Lagoon and then do
some city-sightseeing in Reykjavik before arriving at Grand Hotel Reykjavík.

DAY 5: Good-bye Iceland

Weligama is a coastal town located about 30 km east of Galle. It is a popular destination for surfers and is known for its long sandy beaches.
