Completed a blanket recently for someone who lost their dad not too long ago and wanted a keepsake of his shirts and T-shirts to snuggle under! ❤️ Hopefully this brings peace and comfort to its owner for years to come 🩷

Memory blankets can be made in a number of sizes. These are one of the most popular sizes. Big enough for an adult, so last a lifetime. Lay them on your bed. Have them on the sofa for cold evenings and movie nights 🍿

Ahh 4 years ago today this blanket made its way to its owner! The snuggle sofa size is perfect for toddlers, small kids and to use as a lap blanket in the car or on the sofa watching movies 🎥

NOTICE OF FIRST PRICE INCREASE IN 8 YEARS ❤️‍🩹📈😓

As a small business with a heart I’ve kept costs as low as possible over the years and have never increased my prices. But with the cost of living & materials rapidly increasing, it is with regret, that for now I have no choice but to increase my costs.

Prices will be going up by 20% from 1st July 2023 💓 All orders placed between now and then I will honour at the current price.

💓 FAQ - How many items of clothes do I need to make a Single Size blanket?

This blanket takes 72 patches. I can usually get 2 patches from baby T-shirts, jumpers and flat babygrows. 1-2 from other items. Sometimes I can get more, sometimes motifs are tiny and it’s less so the best thing to do is to send as much as you can. I usually recommend around 40 items for a single.

🤭 Finally excited to reveal the biggest order I’ve ever worked on now that they have been opened by their new owners 😅

Two blankets for a brother and sister with 200 items of clothing between them 🤩

Both blankets are a new size between the single and double. All patches evenly matched up, a 100% cotton border, 50:50 bamboo & cotton wadding inside to last a lifetime & back with super soft dimple dot fleece for extra thickness, warmth and snuggleability! ❤️

People ask why the blankets cost what they do…🤔

Because things like this one take around 20 hours of solid work, usually over the course of a week or two or more.

I’ve been perfecting my skills for over 10 years.

No two blankets are ever the same. It’s bespoke and unique to you.

As much as I do it for the love of sewing, I also have bills to pay & my time & skill set is valuable 🙏🏼

So.... I woke up after a really crap night... like this.... certainly put a smile on my face 🥰 (you may have to look closely to realise what the black blob is) 😂

Going through my fabric stash to see what I have... this is the stuff I whittled down to a few years ago.... there are more boxes in my cabin 🤦🏼‍♀️ I really just need to use it all up and get it gone! Make way for new ones 🤣

Here she is!!! So This took me FIVE YEARS to complete! 🙈🙆🏼‍♀️ Every single hexagon has been hand sewn on! It took me about 18m-2 years to sew the top together and then I just got stuck with how to finish it. Should it be square, should I keep the hexagon shape? What should I do 🤷🏼‍♀️ I couldn’t decide. But now it’s done! And I’m honestly so thrilled I waited to finish it as my skill as a sewer now is so much better now than it was 3 years ago! I’m never going to make one like it again 🤣 If my kids want it when I die they’re gonna have to cut in half haha! This is the one blanket I’ve finally made for myself and now I’m laid under it and will be for many years to come! What do you think? Xx

Absolutely LOVE this one. I made it just because I fell in love with the fabrics... was going to sell it but think I may have to keep it? 🙊🙊 Although I do have enough to make one more if anyone wants one xx
