Bridgerton season 3. This wonderful Chapel of St Peter & St Paul has a staring role in the latest season of the hit series Bridgerton. Situated with the Royal Naval College in Greenwich London was originally designed by Sir Christopher Wren. A fire in 1779 devastated the building and it was rebuild by James 'Athenian' Stuart. The whole of the site of the Royal Naval College features heavily in season 3.

The Real Mary King's Close in Edinburgh is a brilliant attraction. My student group loved it. The famous underground slum housing and the story of the plague in the 1600s. The Guide was great and funny. To think that people lived in such cramped conditions really made everyone think and we must not forget that around the world people still live in unhealthy, unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

Edinburgh Castle on the top of the Royal Mile is a great place to visit. Fantastic views over the city, amazing history and off course the Scottish Honors.

National Museum of Scotland is excellent. Beautiful building and very interesting collection of Scottish history and Natural History. You can spend hours here and plenty to do and Discover.

The Kelpies in Falkirk by Andy Scott are the largest equine statues in the world. And they are amazing. I have waited 10 years to see them.....modelled on 2 Clydesdale horses called Duke and Baron, Kelpies are magical creatures with the strength of a thousand horses.

National Gallery
On Trafalgar Square, on the edge of a busy junction, we find the nations collection of paintings. Dating back to the 13th Century this wonderful place for art lovers began with 38 paintings donated to the nation by banker John Julius Angerstein after his death in 1823. A free gallery its offer everyone the change to see paintings by Monet, van Gogh, Holbein and many many more.

British Museum
All the world under one roof. Founded in 1753 and dedicated to human history. With 8 million items on display it’s the largest collection in the world. Partly based on the private collection, of Sir Hans Sloane, Robert Harley, 1st earl of Oxford and Sir Robert Cotton. It’s a free museum and its the most visited in London.

Kirkjufells is so beautiful. The pictures shows how, in the span of 15 mins, how the weather can change. Wet and cold to glorious....I got my perfect snap....

Gullfoss waterfall...the noise is unbelievable. The water comes from a nearby glacier called Langjökull and it falls a total of 32 meters.

Thingvellir National Park has an amazing history. In 930 The Alþingi, Icelands Parliament was founded here. Its the oldest operating parliament in the world. The site is a geological wonderland. It's a rift valley formed if the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Part of the Mid Atlantic Ridge surfaces in Iceland for 100s of kilometres. Slowly tearing the landscape apart. About 2 cm a year.

It's such a stunning place. So worth a visit. Iceland is Disney World for sciencetists.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach near Vík in Iceland. Absolutely stunning, Absolutely dangerous. My students loved digging into the black sand and pebbles. The 2 rock stacks are Trolls who have turned to stone because they didn't hide before the sun got up. They used to catch ships on the ocean.

Sólheimajökull Glaicer Walk. Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier, part of the the epic Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Standing on top of the glacier which disappears at the alarming rate of 60 meters a year really brings home how climate change is affecting our planet. My student group loved the walk and the education we got from our glacier guide Evan.

"Shrove Tuesday" gets its name from the word shrive, which means "absolve" and often sees Christians attend confession. Its celebrates 47 days before Easter. In French the day is called Mardi Gras, which means "Fat Tuesday" and refers to gorging on richer and fatty foods before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Some countries mark the occasion with a colourful carnival which will include parades and street parties. At Westminster in Victoria Tower Gardens in London, you can watch the annual Rehab Parliamentary Race. Teams of politicians as well as members of the media don their aprons and chef hats and race, pan in hand, while flipping pancakes in an effort to be crowned champions.
