After an extensive renovation, Rosewood Hotel Georgia has reopened its doors with a fresh design that captures the essence of Vancouver’s colourful character in a modern way. Eleven private sanctuaries & suites are scattered around Sterrekopje’s 50-hectare farm 🌺 🐥 Each showcases one-of-a-kind interesting art pieces🎭, hand-painted murals, beautifully textured tapestries and everything else you can want for a pampered stay. Everything has been carefully 🤚 chosen by the owners and you can really see and feel their love for the farm. The highlight of our suite was an elevated Kenyan bed 🛌 where we slept like a prince 🫅 and his princess 👑 in pure rejuvenated bliss. We also loved the soak in our copper bath after our massage treatments and relaxing on our private outdoor terrace listening to birdsong

Christmas 🎄 came early this year or should I say late 😊 After all we’re in Madagascar 🇲🇬 and nothing is on time here, part of the charm I guess when building a resort in a remote place like Sainte Marie Island 🏝️. At least very exciting when your deliveroo 📦 comes straight onto our beach 🏖️. Even Lost our rescue mutt 🐶 is super excited.

We’re back in paradise 🏝️.

Some exciting aviation news 🗞️ for Madagascar 🇲🇬 and the island of Sainte Marie!!! We took the first domestic evening flight to Sainte Marie who has upgraded its runway to now allow flights in the dark ensuring better connections.

Qatar Airways 🇶🇦 also announced daily flights 7 days a week to the capital Antananarivo, expected to launch 3rd quarter of 2024, connecting the world to Madagascar.

This is especially exciting news for our soon to be revealed project Stay tuned….

The new 1 Hotel Mayfair 🛍️ .mayfair has already become a welcoming gathering place for friends and business. We like their selection of casual and fancy bars 🥂plus restaurants, but what we like most about being in this hotel is that it’s totally unpretentious, stylish yet inviting (through their use of natural stones, wood 🌳and plants) making you feel relaxed just being there. The new 1 Hotel Mayfair 🏨 .mayfair has made it on our list 🔝 as being one of our favorite hotels in London, not because they have one of the grandest penthouses, which they do !!, but because of all the natural materials and textiles the hotel incorporates into its design🪴 That being said, the nearly 3000 sqft Green Park Penthouse is truly magnificent with double height rooms, colours inspired by the park 🌿live tree stump bar, timber dining table and a wrap around terrace with views over Green Park🌳(obviously) and the city. As a Londoner ☂️or guest, you could spend a lot of time enjoying the many bars 🍹 and restaurants at The Dorchester We loved breakfast 🍳 in the undeniably British setting of The Promenade. For a more distinguished meal, you have Alain Ducasse, Tom Booton or China Tang 🇨🇳 to choose from. We hit Vesper Bar 🍸 for a pre dinner cocktail joined by friends from Sweden , France/Thailand ,Madagascar ASISTEN TRAVEL ,Spain ,and GM representing Italy and The Dorchester of course!

The Dorchester 🇬🇧 London has just finished a complete makeover of its public spaces 🛋️ and currently working on updating all the rooms and suites, but you wouldn’t even know it whilst staying here since they’re doing two floors at a time. We like their fresh new look, it’s like floating into an English garden 🪴🌺 All the new rooms are gracefully designed, bright and airy. Our stay in the Mayfair Suite was a glamorous affair, especially waking up to expertly made cappuccinos ☕️ and the cracking of a chocolate globe 🌍 filled with treats 🍬

We’ve been a bit quiet lately with our travels ✈️ since we’re working on a very exciting new project…but more on that later 🤫! However, keeping up friendships is important stuff so we’re making a quick trip to London for a friend’s 40th 🎂 in the Cotswolds. We’re all staying at Soho Farmhouse , a relaxed yet vibey destination for good food, spa treatments, and tons of outdoor activities like horseback riding 🐎 and clay pigeon shooting. The heated indoor/outdoor pool is a popular attraction as well as the happening nightclub 💃🏻on Saturdays. Needless to say, the two days of birthday festivities was a huge success!

Why come to this hotel? Well, it has a remarkable 7 world-class bars 🍸 and restaurants, a spa and state-of-the-art fitness center 🏋️‍♀️ including a 25 meter swimming pool, event spaces galore and the location is spot on. Did we mention the service is impeccable and you get to use the Rolls Royce 😉? We’re sold!

Sir Paul Smith 👨‍🎨 was given a knighthood ⚔️ for his services to fashion 👔so it’s no surprise that when he was asked to design one of the Forte Suites (of which there are only 3) at Browns Hotel , he did an impressive job combining hand-selected artworks with his trademark stripes 💈and his whimsical style. Although the suite is extremely spacious with floor to ceiling windows, it showcases beautiful antiques 🛎with modern artworks, plush furniture highlighted by colourful cushions, making the rooms feel happy and cosy throughout. We loved being greeted by Alessandro our private bartender and served an in-suite tipple🍸 on arrival from a very cool bar cart. It allowed us to unwind after our travels and enjoy our expansive sitting room with its wall full of art 🖼 and windows overlooking Dover Street

Set in the English countryside 🌺🌳, Limewood Hotel is one of the places Londoners👨🏽‍💼👩‍💼 go to get away from the hustle of the city. The hotel consists of 33 bedrooms, but they’re all different in design and range from rooms, suites, lodges, cottages and cabins. So depending on your needs, there’s a special place for you. For instance, the Pavillion Lodge was designed for a romantic getaway 🥰so it’s perfect for couples.
