About Us
We have enjoyed events the outdoors and hiking all our lives, now we want to share this with you. We are a fast growing group of fun-loving people keen to discover every last corner! We’re relaxed and friendly and our emphasis is very much on having fun and making new friends in an enjoyable environment. We are a team of people dedicated and committed. A good amount of people come on their own and we pride ourselves on making them feel welcome. This group is a proven friend maker. Our rich diversity adds to our enjoyment. We are mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s, age is not important as long as you have a fun and sociable nature. This is a relaxed and friendly group where you can expect a warm welcome. Activities
In this group we can try all kinds of outdoor activity including scrambling, camping, canoeing, canyoning, rock climbing, scuba diving, caving, coasteering, mountain biking and anything else you can think of. Whether it's climbing, yoga, biking, surfing, it doesn't matter if you've never done it before, or if you already enjoy it. We aim to offer these activities (and more) at all levels, from complete beginners to those who are ready for something more demanding. Be part of a fun loving and adventurous group of people. We are very sociable and evening events can include; Stimulating conversation with others over dinner and drinks in the evening. Treasure & Scavenger Hunts around London, Go-Karting, Paint-ball, Kayaking along the Thames, Yoga, Shopping Discount evenings, Pub Quizzes, Charitable Volunteering Events, Games nights, Orienteering and Photography exhibitions. Pub crawls, social events, wine tastings, sightseeing, making new friends, dining adventure, new in town drinks, food and cooking related events, exploring London's night life, social drinks, 18s, Go Ape, Treasure Hunts, Go Karting and Paintball. There is a lot to see and do outside of London and around the UK: everything from the hills and sea views of the Sussex Downs to the poetic beauty of the Lake District; the shipwrecks and cliffs of the Cornish coast to the rugged mountains and lochs of Scotland. The UK has some world class walks. Including the Brecon Beacons, Norfolk Broads, Cairngorms, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Lake District, Loch Lomond, New Forest, Northumberland, North York Moors, Dark Peaks, Peak District, Pembrokeshire Coast, Snowdonia, South Downs and the Yorkshire Dales. We can do Overseas trips to places such as : High Atlas mountains, the Pyrenees, the Dolomites, Himalayas, Andes, Granada Mountains, Slovenia, Croatia, France and the Swiss & French Alps, Norway, Kilimanjaro, Andalucía
The great places we can visit and travel to on our trips in the UK include: South Downs, North Downs, Devon, Cornwall, The Lake District, Wales - Snowdon, the Gower and the Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and Moors, the Chilterns, Isle of Wight, Kent Downs, Surrey Hills, the Cotswolds, Dorset, the Lake District, the Yorkshire dales and moors and on up to Scotland and Ben Nevis. Worried about turning up alone ? Most people turn up alone! Its very normal to turn up alone and we have all been in that position of attending your first meetup, you will find the setup is conducive to making friends straight away. The day hikes are a great way to get to know people and be assured you will always get a friendly welcome. You will probably not the only one there for your first time. You will be with like minded people getting fitter fit and seeing great places. Walks
All of our hikes are safe. When we hike abroad we use qualified local guides for on our hikes for all but the easiest terrain. Our trips offer a large range of choice from gentle day hikes to demanding hiking weekends in the Lake District and other mountainous regions of the UK. All planned in detail. We organise all the logistics for our hiking trips so that you can just turn up, have a great time and meet new people. All our walks are researched and selected to provide top views, lots of variety and historic features with a great pub to visit on route. We using the best routes for our members. We research into great pubs and beautiful picnic spots. We use a variety of techniques and technologies to create the routes. We walk at a good pace. An OS map, a compass, GPS and a first kit are always carried on the hikes. We aim to explore a diverse variety of stunning natural landscapes around the UK. All our events are graded by difficulty, from gentle strolls to charity challenges. Safety
We take safety seriously and never take unnecessary risks. The organiser has been Mountain Leader Trained. We aim to minimise risk through careful planning, good organisation, experience and skill. We take your safety seriously. As members of the British Mountaineering Council we keep up to date with the latest trends and news in hill walking in the UK. Take care
In coming on any activity you understand that there is a risk of personal injury as there might be in almost any activity and it is your responsibility to take all due precautions regarding your own health and safety. Joining us as an organiser
We are interested in hearing from experienced hike leaders (with at least Mountain Leader level training) and activity instructors. We aren’t one of the fastest groups but some of the day hikes really are a chance to stretch your legs…we never leave anyone behind at the back though! Our walkers come from around the world and are of all ages. We are a multi-national group interested in outdoor activities, learning about other cultures and have a love of travel. Our hikes make great local training for treks abroad like Everest Base camp or Kilimanjaro. We are planning, and help build a community of like-minded, easy-going people who enjoy new experiences, exploring the world, meeting new people, making friends and having fun. We are an international group of friendly and fun loving hiking and outdoor event enthusiasts who like hikes, with interesting sights and terrain and exciting fun events.
